I chose the dread loc style to feel more...connected with the
universe and deeply root myself with my origins. My mother introduced
me to a series of books that tell the stories of how your head is
naturally supposed to grow in the form of locs, considering that is how
your DNA is shaped. (The twist matrix). I was taught that your hair as a
black person is what connects you to the universe, and that combing and
pressing it or chemically treating it is basically a hair no-no. Its
truly a beautiful style!
