I live in Mississippi and we are not known for earthquakes. March 15, 2025: A magnitude 3.0 earthquake occurred near Magee, MS (in Simpson County, about 40 miles southeast of Jackson). It struck at approximately 1:50 p.m. and coincided with a severe weather outbreak in the state. April 24, 2026: A magnitude 3.6 earthquake was recorded in Yalobusha County (near Water Valley and roughly 18 miles south of Oxford). Hey, earthquakes happen right? Nothing to see here.
Would it surprise you to know that 2025 was the DEADLIEST year for earthquaks with 677,000 reported? I think that is a large worrying number and 2026 is off to an active start with 100,000. Why am I focusing on EARTHQUAKES? The major components of End Time prophesy deals with THREE consistant themes throughout the 7 year tribulation of the Book of Revelation in the Christian Bible, they are FAMINE, EARTHQUAKES, AND PLAGUES, all of which are occurring right now GLOBALLY . The end time prophecy in Revelation is catastrophy on a worldwide scale.
The most unusual earthquake of 2025 was the magnitude 7.7 event in Myanmar on March 28, 2025.It featured a rare "boomerang" rupture where the ground shifted southward before reversing and snapping northward in a supershear event that broke at speeds faster than seismic shear waves. The deadliest and most destructive earthquake of 2025 was the magnitude 7.7-7.9 event that struck central Myanmar on March 28. It caused unprecedented devastation, claiming at least 5,400 lives and injuring thousands, and severely affecting millions of people across Myanmar, Thailand, and neighboring countries.
Because earthquakes cannot be predicted by scientists, a "most unlikely" earthquake is not a formal scientific category. Instead, seismologists classify unlikely earthquakes based on probabilistic seismic hazard models. The most famous improbable, yet physically possible, seismic scenario in the U.S. is a magnitude 9.0+ "BIG ONE" rupturing the entire Cascadia Subduction Zone in the Pacific Northwest. The findings gained additional significance when another deep earthquake struck on September 10, 2025, near Maeser in Utah's Uinta Basin.
Worldwide, there are an estimated 100,000 to over a milion earthquakes every year, though the vast majority are tiny tremors below a magnitude of 2.0 that humans cannot feel. On average, the earth experiences around 10 to 20 major earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 or greater annually. Approximately 500,00 detectable earthquakes occur worldwide each year. Of this total, about 100,000 are large enough to be felt, and around 100 cause damage. So, even though 2025 was the larget number recorded, it would not be out of reality if people believed that the 677,000 eathquakes is still a low number.
Yes, the Book of Revelation describes cataclysmic events, including famine, massive earthquakes, and plagues. These disasters are depicted as part of a series of divine judgments meant to bring an end to the current world order and usher in the establishment of God's ultimate kingdom. I wouldn't be alarmed if it were only earthquakes happening around the world but, there is also world wide famine occurring along with an increase in insect activity and viral and unusual diseases occurring. Take a minute to read my previous post DOROTHY GUYTON, author (BA, MA) INTERVIEWER: Anti-Christ 101.
If you have been noticing the increase in plagues, famines, and earthquakes, please leave a comment or share. I would also be curious if there any other people noticing the occurrances or is it just me. As we are seeing of late is, you don't have to be a fanatic to be a Christian. Believing the Bible is not fanaticism. The Book of Revelation is actually a love letter from God warning those who believe in Him so they can be aware and prepared for what is yet to come. God's deepest desire in Revelation is for people to repent of evil and turn towards Him as their Savior. He gives several opportunities for mankind to repent before things get worse. Hint. Hint.
The Trump administration has brought religion to the forefront of their term. I say if the Right is going to use religion, Christianity, to win people over, than the people should know the REAL Christian perspective and actions (Yes. I believe I know). I promise if you ask them do they believe all of the Bible, they would say except Revelation. But, you can't pick and choose what parts of the Bible you believe. It is an all-or-nothing belief. It is evident there are several parts of the Bible the Trump administration don't believe or at least, choose not to adhere to.
There is an old phrase, "Keep your eye on the sky," It is more fitting to say, "Keep your eye on the ground." Hopefully, I'll be around to let you know when to keep your eye on the sky lol.
