Do You Know the Numbers Part 2

Welcome back to part two of, "Do you know the numbers." To catch you up from part one, I taked about whether numbers in the Bible have significant meanings. I believe they do and I'm not alone. In part one I shared the significance of the number 3 and what it  has meant to me for decades. I also showed the powerful significance of the number twelve and how God used it as a particularly inportant number. Now, I would like to shave my thoughts on a few more numbers starting with the number SIX.

In the Bible, the number 6 is traditionally known as the "number of man." It symbolizes human weakness, labor, and imperfection, in direct contrast to the number 7, which signifies divine perfection and completion. 

Why It Represents Humanity Creation: Humanity was created on the 6th day of creation week (Genesis 1:26-31). Labor and Toil: God ordained that man is appointed to work for 6 days and rest on the 7th (Exodus 20:9-10). Fall from Grace: Because of the fall of Adam, the number 6 is associated with human limitation, sin, and separation from God's holiness.

Key Symbolism and Associations: Number of the Beast (666): In Revelation 13:18, 666 is the infamous "number of the beast," representing the pinnacle of human systems, rebellion, and imperfection falling short of divine status. Human Strength vs. Divine Power: The number often highlights the failure of human effort. For instance, Goliath's height was six cubits and his spear weighed 600 shekels, symbolizing worldly strength opposing God (1 Samuel 17:4-7). Missing the Mark: Since 7 represents spiritual perfection (like the 7 days of the week or 7 feasts), the number 6 represents falling just short of that divine standard.  biblica meaning of the number six - Google Search.

There are three (number of manisfestation) reasons the number was used. The first is the fact that in the Scriptures, the number of MAN is 6 because man was created on the 6th day. In contrast, the number of God is 7 because it represents completion and perfection., since on the seventh day of creation, God rested from His work which He declared to be good or perfect. 

Now, in the Hebrew language, which the Old Testament of the Bible is written in, superlatives are expressed by repeating the word or phrase., the ultimate being its repetition THREE times (My number). Thus, when Isiah saw the Lord lifted up and exalted in the Temple, he heard Seraphim singing, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lamb of hosts" (Isiah 6:1-3). therefore the number 6 represents the number of Man carried to its zenith.

The second reason the number 666 is used is because of ots symbolism in Jewish thinking. The Bible tells us that in the year which King Solomon received 666 talents of gold, he TURNED his back on God and became obsessed with women, horses, and money (1 Kings 10;14 and 2 Chronicles 9:13. Thus, the Jewish history, the number 666 came to stand for APOSTACY.

The third reason the number is used is related to the fact that in both Hebrew and Greek (New Testament original translation), the letters of the ALPHABET also stand for numbers. This makes it possible to add up numerical value for every name. The Antichrist's name will add up to 666 in either greek or Hebrew (or perhaps both) and will be an expression of the ultimate APOSTACY - presenting one self as a substitute for the REAL Messiah.

Some of Trump's actions in ISRAEL are raising eyebrows, especially when it LINES up with End Time prophecy, found in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. Such as the Abomination of Desolation, when someone OUTSIDE of Israel setting up what is refered to The Abomination of Desolation. The "Abomination of Desolation", is a prominent biblical phrase. This is viewed by many as an end-times prophecy where the Antichrist will commit ultimate blasphemy by demanding to be worshiped as God within a rebuilt Jerusalem temple. 

It originates in the Book of Daniel (e.g., Daniel 9:27, 11:31) and is directly referenced by Jesus in the New Testament (Matthew 24:15, Mark 13:14) as a major, visible sign of impending tribulation or judgment.  

The United States already operates an embassy in Jerusalem, which originally opened in 2018 under the Trump administration. Furthering this initiative, the Israeli government officially approved a plan to allocate a 7.7-acre plot in the Talpiot neighborhood for the construction of a permanent, purpose-built U.S. Embassy compound. 

Numbers aren't that innocent and have long been speculated to have CODES or MYSTERIES for those wise enough to find them. The Bible does NOT contain secret, occult messages, or hidden future prediction. However, biblical authors frequently used symbolic numbers to convey spiritual truths and theological meaning. This is known as biblical numerology, which uses specific numbers to represent concepts like completeness, divine perfection, or testing. 

Common Symbolic Numbers

Instead of being a secret code, the numbers act as symbols that would have been clearly understood by ancient Hebrew and Greek audiences.

1 (One) – Unity and Primacy: Represents the oneness of God (Deuteronomy 6:4) and the singularity of His sovereignty. It also points to unity among believers.

2 (Two) – Witness and Duality: Symbolizes the testimony of two witnesses (Deuteronomy 19:15) and duality (e.g., Old and New Testaments, divine and human natures of Christ).

3 (Three) – Completeness and Divine Perfection: Associated with the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and events like Jesus’ resurrection on the third day or Peter’s threefold denial and restoration.

4 (Four) – Creation and Universality: Represents the four corners of the earth (Isaiah 11:12) and the four living creatures in Revelation, symbolizing the totality of creation.

5 (Five) – Grace and Provision: Linked to God’s goodness (e.g., the five loaves fed the 5,000) and the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible.

6 (Six) – Human Imperfection: Created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26-31), it often signifies human limitation, as in the number 666 (Revelation 13:18).

7 (Seven) – Completion and Perfection: The number of God’s work (creation week, Sabbath) and appears repeatedly in Revelation as a sign of fullness and divine orchestration.

8 (Eight) – New Beginnings: Follows seven, marking a new order (e.g., circumcision on the eighth day).

12 (Twelve) – Divine Governance: Represents God’s people (twelve tribes, twelve apostles) and authority in the covenant community.

40 (Forty) – Testing and Preparation: Symbolizes a period of trial or preparation (e.g., Israelites’ 40 years in the wilderness, Jesus’ 40 days fasting).

70 (Seventy) – Universality: Denotes completeness and the totality of the world’s peoples (Genesis 10:32).

10 (Ten) – Completeness and Order: The Ten Commandments and the parable of the ten virgins illustrate moral order and readiness. Why Numbers Were Used Symbolically? Biblical authors embedded numbers into narratives, laws, and prophetic visions to: convey theological truths (e.g., God's unity, perfection, and sovereignty). Created patterns that reinforce themes and doctrines, Provide prophetic or apocaliptic message to convey spritual truths and theological meaning. This IS known as biblical numerology, which uses specific numbers to represent CONCEPTS like completeness, divine protection, or testing. Convey theological truths, perfection, and sovereignty). 

Using this system from antiquity, Donald John Trump adds numerololgy to 424. I often remind readers that God CREATED everything and said it was good. Man corrupted many GOOD things, turning them into bad or forbidden things. Now NUMBERS are seen as BAD, OCCULT, WITCH CRAFT. In secular numerology, the number 6 is the archetype of harmony, balance, responsibility, and unconditional love. Stripped of religious dogma, it represents the emotional, nurturing, and domestic aspects of the human experience. It is the cosmic caregiver, focusing on service, family, and community. We are not the same.

 But, NUMEROLOGY has far more believers and followers of what numbers SYMBOLICALLY mean. Bible scholars study numbers in the Bible to see correlations in meaning that can been seen as a repeated certain occurence of such meaning.

Donald Trump Our Savior?

After watching a portion of an ID crime series, The Curious Case of the Doomsday Cult, I began to wonder how people can become deceived by false interpretation of the Bible or leaders. How can people who are seeking God's word, knowledge, and truth, get the Bible twisted in so many crazy and even evil ways? I mean, shouldn't there be some kind of built in protection ensuring true understanding of God's word for those trying to learn about and worship God? 

It is a scary thought knowing there is a possibility someone dedicated to God and Scripture can become a danger to others through a false understanding or interpretation of the Bible. In the series I was watching, preacher Sheryl Ruthven, a self-proclaimed prophet, beguiles her followers into subservience and uses them to settle personal scores. As her beliefs grow increasingly bizarre, she demands her congregation adopt cats, believing the animals’ souls will save them in the impending apocalypse. Her manipulation drives followers into intense isolation, financial ruin, and bizarre rituals, tearing families apart and exploiting loyalty – all under the promise of salvation. Three of the most infamous American cult leaders of the twentieth century were Charles Manson, Jim Jones, and David Koresh. They used the Bible in a perverted way.

In the same vein, I wonder how Christians can view Donald Trump as some kind of SAVIOR? They use the Bible and prominent characters from the Bible who did great things for the Lord and who were also FLAWED like Donald Trump to uphold Trump's questionable behavior and character. This uplifting of a man who to many, is the opposite of how a Christian is to behave, leave many onlookers scratching their heads at the Christian embrace and support of Donald Trump. They wonder is the Christian community reading and understanding their Bible?

Last year, on the Christian show FlashPoint, TV evangelist Hank Kunneman described “a battle between good and evil”, adding: “There's something on President Trump that the enemy fears: it's called the anointing.” Reverend Franklin Graham is one of America’s best-known evangelists and the son of Billy Graham, arguably its most famous preacher. He is one of the Trump believers, convinced there is no doubt that the president-elect was chosen for this mission by God. I ask what mission? Can I see the mission statement? Does the God given mission of Trump include Elon Musk firing federal employees? 

According to the PRRI’s survey (Public Religion Research Institute), of 5,027 adults, white evangelical Protestant voters were the strongest backers of Trump over Harris by 72% to 13%. White Catholic voters also backed Trump, with 55% supporting him and 34% aligned with Harris. White “mainline” non-evangelical Protestants showed a similar split. The results from Michigan showed a clear lurch towards the Republican Party by Muslim voters in the state. Analysis also shows that more Latino Catholics voted for Trump than expected, when previously they have tended to lean Democrat. Will there be rending of clothes and gnashing of teeth of Christians due to their choice?

How can there be one sector of Bible readers believing one thing when it comes to political leanings and another section believing something different even though they both claim to be Christian and use biblical scripture to support their beliefs? Believe it or not, both are truly people seeking to be good Christians faithful in prayer, worship and studying of the Scriptures. How could any of them go off the rails?

During my study of the book of Romans in the Bible I stumbled upon the answer and it is the law of sin. Have you heard of such a law before? It is explained in depth in Romans 7.

Paul, the author of Romans, is saying the Law given to Moses by God that all believers of God had to follow, made the person aware of sin. The Law outlined everything that was bad or evil in God's eyesight and should not be done. Now a person could IDENTIFY sin clearly. It was a SIN because it was NAMED a sin. 

The LAW OF SIN says SIN seizes the opportunity of you becoming aware of what is defined as a sin to produce in the person a DESIRE to do the sin (Romans 7:8). Knowledge of SOMETHING makes you want to do THAT something. Christians have been using this rationale to keep sex education out of schools. If children learn about it, then they will want to do it.  Even knowing all of Trump's lawsuits and felonies, people still voted for him excusing his crimes. One might say, they want to do the same things. They want to be LIKE Trump. UNLEASHED and UNTOUCHABLE. Bulldozing those who dare to make a negative comment. Trump exhibits a long list of vices, sins if you will, defined. Do people desire the same (misogyny, racism, sexual abuse, bullying, lawlessness, compulsive lying, greed, vengeance, calls to violence, threats, boastfulness). All of these adjectives, nouns, and verbs have been attributed to Donald Trump and people still say, "He's, our man."

Romans 7:11 goes on to say that sin DECEIVES the person aware of sin. Paul said then you find the law of sin at work, "When I want to do good, evil is right there with me (Romans 7:21)." It is through Jesus who cleanses a person from their SIN nature that they no longer operate in the law of sin, "when they want to do good, they do evil (Romans 7:24-25)." Accepting Jesus into your life releases the believer from being a slave to sin and allows for the believer to be a slave of God. So, a person can be free from the deceit of sin. But you must be all in for God. Why do I say this? Read on.

The Bible warns that out flesh will always want things that are not good for us. The Bible verse 1 Corinthians 15:31 says, "I die daily". The phrase "die to the flesh" appears in other Bible passages, such as Romans 8:13, Colossians 3:5, and Galatians 5:16. The phrase "die to the flesh" means to deny the selfish desires of the flesh and instead follow the leading of the Spirit. In my opinion, it is to daily self-check, constant monitoring of the desires the flesh can have that keeps misinterpretation of Scripture at bay because the Christian is to want no more or no less than what God wants.

Most misinterpretation of Scripture just comes from lack of studying. Misuse of Scripture happens when people are trying to live as Christians under the Law of Moses (Old Testament) and the New Covenant of Christ (New Testament) at the SAME time. But most often, people misinterpret, misuse, and abuse the Bible due to personal agendas that have more to do with fleshly desires. Religion has always been used as a shield to for evil.

Right now, it seems people are just wanting to be the one who WINS. The Right want to beat the Left and vice versa. MAGA want to beat the Liberals. It is like my grandma used to say, "You're cutting your nose off to spite your face." This RIGHT-FIGHTING is causing all kind of self-harm. First of all, the Christians are one body. Division harms the whole. The Right and Left are all Americans. Division harms the whole. This is the FLESH or SIN becoming the driver, making an opening for DECEPTION on a massive and grand scale.

With most religious leaders gone wrong, there is a GREIVANCE. A primary grievance of religious cult leaders is often the perception of unfair scrutiny and persecution from society, including law enforcement and the media, which they feel unfairly targets their beliefs and practices, often leading to restrictions on their ability to freely exercise their religion, even when not engaging in illegal activities.

I'm not saying people who support Donald Trump are part of a cult. But they have been likened to a cult. If at any time I am involved in something, and the word cult comes up in any way around it - I'm probably going to ease back off it. Because people in a cult NEVER BELIEVE they are in a cult!!!

Individuals define themselves in part by the beliefs they hold and the faiths they share with others and sometimes people CREATE that body of same believers. The power of the Trump Cult (media and others have labeled) should not be underestimated. It is supported by moment by moment contact with other like-minded people. It is fed by these people keeping their faith alive through the wonders of the internet. Social media (Especially X now) have been called an ‘echo chamber’ playing back what any person involved has expressed themselves. But it goes a step further because those repeating the beliefs are regarded as being ‘just like me.’ That reciprocity is one of the key features that makes persuasions authoritative.  An aspect well understood by scammers.

I have been writing that I believe Evangelicals are getting it wrong by supporting Donald Trump. From their pulpits on Sunday mornings, they continue to bring up a Bible verse supporting why they support him as a rescuer from the evils of Democrats/Liberals. Pastors say it is a battle for the family, children, country which we all care deeply about. All I can say is time will tell. But one thing is for sure, a person can be seeking the Lord and striving to do their best to serve Him and still get the Scriptures twisted and lead others astray.

Trump, Evangelicals, and Wealth

One thing you cannot escape is Trump in the news daily. The former president finds himself swamped in criminal charges. Even with all of his legal problems, people love and support him, especially Evangelicals. How can this be? Christianity teaches against sin which includes lying, corruption, mistreatment of your fellowman, adultry, and many more actions Trump has been accused of doing. Yet, the religious community continue to support him and seemingly even encourage his antics. Trump's potential to be elected president once again has many people on edge and scratching their head wondering who would want a "criminal" (illegedly) for a president?

While I was attending Seminary, we quickly glossed over a parable which seemed to imply it is okay to use your wealth in a way to gain favor from people even if its unethically done. WHAT? I couldn't believe what I was reading and all the professor could say was, "This is seen as a controversial passage scholars have been unable to agree on its true meaning." But what was clear was this one sentence, "I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings” (Luke 16:1b-9)." 

Scholars cannot agree exactly what was taking place in the parable. Was the manager decreasing the amounts the master's debtors owed their master gaining favor from the debtors so they would welcome him when he no longer had a job? Does the parable teach to use your position in life to gain personal favor from people even though the way you do it is wrong? Time to look at the parable in the Bible.

In Luke’s Gospel, many of Jesus’s parables are grouped together. In chapter 15, we find the “lost” parables, where Jesus talks about misplaced coins, lost sheep, and wayward sons. In chapter 16, Luke puts two parables together: the Parable of the Shrewd Manager and the Parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man.

The parable of the shrewd manager reads like this:

“There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. So he called him in and asked him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.’

“The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m ashamed to beg- I know what I’ll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will welcome me into their houses.’

“So he called in each one of his master’s debtors. He asked the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’

“‘Nine hundred gallons of olive oil,’ he replied.

“The manager told him, ‘Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred and fifty.’

“Then he asked the second, ‘And how much do you owe?’

“‘A thousand bushels of wheat,’ he replied.

“He told him, ‘Take your bill and make it eight hundred.’

“The master (Jesus) commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light. I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings” (Luke 16:1b-9).

There it is. The manager was cheating his boss out of money to gain favor from people he soon would be on the same level with as far as economics were concerned. The parable is specifically talking about using position, authority, and MONEY, to gain favor from people.

Many are confused how and why Evangelicals support and encourage Trump. There is no doubt Donald Trump uses his position, authority, and money to gain favor from people. He has been likened to a mob boss in doing a favor to get a favor. While campaigning for president, he makes favorable, sometime obsurd, promises to his base of supporters. Donald Trump not only uses his worldly wealth to gain friends, he uses threats too.

Some Christians choose to interpret this parable as meaning it is fine to use shrewd tactics to gain godly outcomes as evidenced by the verse in the parable, "For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.," They see Donald Trump, a sinner, doing bad to bring about good. He is backed by Evangelicals with a clear heart because of his overturning of Roe v Wade, and favoring other causes dear to them and their Christian faith. He doesn't have to be good or use ethics to bring about desired Christian outcomes in their minds. He is crooked for Christ.

The above parable seems to show that OUTCOMES are more important than means one uses to achieve the desired outcome. This is a parable many are not familiar with and you can see why. When I first read it I could not believe cheating was being sanctioned, making friends held as important in such a way, and self gain at any cost being encouraged. Even if the passage is trying to say it is more important to have friends than to worry about money, it wasn't the manager's money to use to gain friends. The Bible is clear, greed is a sin and the love of money can impede your entrance into heaven, but this is a parable about dishonesty.

It is evident Trump's wealth is his value in his eyes. He lies about his monetary value all the time and is currently standing trial for inflating at times and deflating his monetary value at other times. Every chance he gets he asks his followers to contribute to his defese or campaign even when they have no idea how the millioaire is going to use the money sent to him. Maybe they believe they are giving their money to a kingdom cause and when it is gone, they will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. But Evangelicals support Trump. Go figure.

CULTS and Trump

 WHY ARE PEOPLE BELIEVING TRUMP IS SENT BY GOD? ARE THEY DEMONSTRATING SIGNS OF FOLLOWING A CULT LEADER?

    My daughters jokingly say they were raised in a "cult" and I was the cult leader. This in one way is flattering because cult leaders are extremely charismatic and make people feel loved, accepted, and as if they belong and matter. But cult leaders have a bad side also. It is said they use brainwashing techniques to attract and keep their followers. The followers identify with the cult leaders on some or many levels and admire them greatly. I in no way, shape, or form wanted my daughters to be followers. The parenting skills I believed I was implementing were intended to shape, form, and mold free thinkers. 

    When looking at the definition of a cult leader I found myself disagreeing with it. Religion and religious groups are only described as able to have a cult following, by one resource's definition. Of course, there are several infamous cults which center around religion such as David Koresh, Charles Manson, and Jim Jones. But not ALL cults are religious. Religious cult leaders claim to have direct contact or revelation from a God/Higher Power/ or from the Universe giving them insight/understanding/information/special knowledge that the members do not/cannot possess. In some cases, the leader tells the followers he CAN help them to come into the same awareness/knowledge/power if they follow his direction. Yes, most cult leaders are men. 

    Donald Trump is imfamous for making outlandish promises to his base. His followers do not seem to care that he is not able to deliver on many of his promises. But the really scary thing about Trump is he never objects or tell people not to put him in a savior category. He doubles down on their assessment and revels in being seen as god-like. Is he a cult leader and are his followers blind sheeps for the slaughter? Cult leaders and their followers has historically met with a bad end.

    I believe a cult leader can show up in any given area where there are people looking to be embraced. Hitler took cult leader to the highest deadliest level. Cult leaders are not just your everyday narcissists. The are what is defined as "traumatic" narcisissts. The actions of a traumatic narcissist has deleterious effects on their followers often persuading the follower into abusive situations or to carry out abuses on others. Can anyone say JANUARY 6th?

    Cult leaders are intuitive, able to read people. They thrive on chaos and create crisis situations tapping into well planted fears they have made the followers believe. Fox news is a vehicle for creating one fear after another for its viewers to grab a hold of. They are power-hungry and authoritarian. 

    One thing I find clever of the cult leader is they issue uniforms and titles. These two actions make the follower feel important and above the ordinary person in status. The uniform and title reinforces the idea the follower has a job and authority in his enlightenment within the group and over those without the revelation given to them by their leader. The MAGA hat and slogan is an example of a uniform which makes people feel part of a group, have a job, have a title, and have a mission to enlighten others. Another MOVE of the cult leader is to make tantalizing promises. His promises keeps the follower amped up in anticipation that any day the promise will come true. Hitler was a leader who used these cult practices.

There are three types of cult leaders: The Delusional Martyr, Preacher Turned Egomaniac, and the Hard and Fast Narcissist.

The Delusional Martyr: Is the most dangerous cult leader. Heaven's Gate leader, Marshall Applewhite instructed 39 members to commit mass suicide in 1997. He was convinced aliens would come to earth and take him and his followers away leaving their bodies for a higher existence. This group oriented delusion is called "Shared psychotic Disorder" according to the National Institutes of Health.

The Preacher Turned Egomaniac: May start out as a teacher, preacher, or an instructor of some sort then realizes people believe or hang onto their every word and become puffed up with such influence or his power to get people to listen to his every word. In 1978, Jim Jones, once a preacher, orchestrated the Jonestown Massacre in 1978, killing 900 people by instructing them to drink poison to commit suicide. 

The Hard and Fast Narcissist: Has been a narcissist the majority of their lives. they feel entitled to completely lie to a person or whatever they have to do to get others to believe whatever it is they are selling, whether it is God, a product, or anything. They are a bottomless pit of ego need. They are malignant narcissists and do not care about the lives they destroy, or the lies they tell, the damage they are doing, they just need to be loved, feared, adored. Many say former President Donald Trump falls into this category. 

WHICH CATEGORY DOES DONALD TRUMP AND HIS FOLLOWERS FIT INTO?

    The sad thing is there will always be a group of disenfranchised people, the outcast, or the person who has had enough of the way they have been negatively treated, waiting for someone to understand their plight and formulate a solution to address it. The cult leader will begin at the root of the unhappiness/discontent by saying they understand, validating the person, boosting self-esteem, and feelings of being heard. There is a formula or steps visible the cult leader takes, which those outside of the cult can plainly see. The steps are as follows.

  1.  Next the enlightenment talk begins, the ability to see the TRUTH others are blind to or are blatantly disregarding. A new vocabulary only the group is privy to forms, making the followers feel special and separated from others develops. 

  2.  Articles of clothing are introduced in some shape or form. The group takes pride in wearing the items and can be identified by them and titles are given so some sense of power and authority is bestowed upon the followers (no longer a group anymore. Leader and follower hierarchy has been established by now). 

  3.  The leader makes promises to the followers that are appealing and are told family and friends will turn against them for believing in the promises and the leader. Outsiders, or anyone who disagrees with the leader become a THREAT, ENEMY, INFERIOR. The leader makes the followers protective of him saying those who do not believe will want to destroy him with lies or even physical attacks. This is the point where the follower can become dangerous in an attempt to protect the message, doctrine, and/or leader from outside influences. The leader now has full control and can demand money or violence from the followers. The followers become weaponized by the leader. Just objects to be used as he sees fit.

These men believe they are not treated as well as women by society Their rights as men are not recognized in the home and world at large. Women use sex to manipulate men. Women have made laws/polices beneficial to them by giving or withholding sex and thus are responsible for the bad condition of society. Women lie and call the police on men falsely claiming rape. The courts favor women in divorce awarding them the man's money/possessions and children in child custody battles. Women continually reject men in the dating scene.

    The Red Pill community have their own language, looks to a leader for instruction and ideology about women, attack outsiders or their enemy- women, verbally and on a few accounts physically. There is Red Pill apparel available for purchase, they actively recruit members usually unhappy young Republican White men, and offer comradery for men in private groups. This group checks many of the cult boxes of a cult. But what else makes a cult? The people who join the group or community. The Red Pill community and MAGA have traits of a cult.

    There are certain characteristics of those who are recruited, belong, join, connect with cults and cult leaders. People who join cults:

SEEKING AN IDENTITY

SEEKING MEANING

SCHIZOTYPAL THINKING (not schizophrenic but dances on the edge and have odd beliefs/behaviors with conspiracy-type, alien-type, supernatural-type beliefs)

HIGHLY SUGGESTIBLE

CONSTANTLY BLAME OTHERS

ALWAYS ANGRY

VERY LOW SELF-ESTEEM

    Angry social media communities can easily spin into a cult. No one in America would have believed 2,000-2,500 Americans would attack the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. People watched the news with utter shock and disbelief as rioters forced their way into the Capitol Building in an effort to overturn election results and harm employees of the government including the vice president. I can guarantee none of the people involved in the protest and attack would classify themselves as cult members but I bet their family members would. 

    The rioters, MAGA, follow a charismatic leader and hang on his every word or instruction. They believe they are understood finally by their leader. They subscribe to conspiracy theories. Those who don't believe the leader are deemed inferior, a danger, or an enemy. The leader enlists fear as a tool for action and to ensure his followers remain angry along with wild promises (he delivers many). He plays a martyr saying the media is attacking him. He dictates their source of information. The main part of the uniform is the MAGA hat. Bullying is used as an abuse tactic. The leader often proclaims his brilliance, and he is the only one who can help them and change the country/world. His blatant lies are ignored for the common good of their ideology. The leader separates followers from family who do not believe the same. He uses his power to elevate followers to positions and titles. Money flows, weapons flow, and discontent grows. Crisis after crisis only he can solve is echoed by the leader.

    In the end, a large number of followers of cult leaders end up dying. The leader eventually crosses a line in his big grab for power or relevance resulting in their death. No special enlightenment is needed to know the Cult of Trump is going to end in some form of disaster even bigger than January 6, 2021. History repeats itself.  

    This is what the Bible says about FALSE teachers (leaders) who bring truth into dispute 2 Peter 2:10-14. They are bold and arrogant.

"This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority... With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning, they SEDUCE the UNSTABLE; they are experts in GREED - an accursed brood!"

The Heart Of Man

     My book is ready for purchase just in time for those going to the polls to cast their vote for president in fear in 2024. It is all but a sure bet, President Biden will be facing off against former president Donald Trump. This will be an IMPORTANT election with major SIGNIFICANCE. No matter who wins, our heart condition is going to matter.

    For both candidates, age is a factor. People are voicing their dissatifaction having to choose between elderly White man number one and elderly White man number two. The mental capacity of both candidates is in question. Each have rambled on camera, desparately trying to recapture their train of thought. 

    The daily news no longer reports on what is being done for our country. Each day, news reporters announce what kind of investigation is being filed against which elected official, spending countless hours providing evidence of the accused guilt or innocence. Our govenment is no longer a ruling body, but a soap opera with America tuning in to root for a villan or hero.

    As I stated earlier, there is an element of FEAR surrounding THIS election cycle. Fear - the man elected as president will die in office. Fear - the man elected will abuse his power. Fear - the man elected won't listen to the voter's needs. Fear - the office will be used to take vengence on the opposing party. Fear - no one will ever trust our free election process again. Fear - America will lose its standing as a super power. Fear - the cycle of self first over country will never end. 

    No one stops to evaluate what toll anxiety/fear plays on our bodies. The constant drumbeat of our way of life can be lost if we vote for the wrong presidential candidate. Studies have shown ndividuals with high levels of anxiety are at increased risk of coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, stroke, fatal ventricular arrhythmias, and sudden cardiac death. Politicians want you to be fearful.

  Anxiety/fear can cause the hippocampus to shrink. The hippocampus is an area of the brain that plays a major role in learning and memory. It’s one of the most affected areas of the brain in individuals experiencing anxiety. The hippocampus connects to the amygdala, and together they control emotional memory recalling and regulation. Damage to the hippocampus can make it difficult for a person to remember things and form new memories. Politicians want you fearful.

Just as stress affects our ability to make new decisions, stress also affects brain chemistry, making it difficult to assess benefits and costs. This can lead to poor decision making where the risks are as great as the rewards. Politicians want you anxious, fearful, and stressed.

  What are the fearful masses of onlookers, potential voters, supposed to think? Well, that is just it. They are supposed to THINK in general. The cherry on top of fear, is RELIGION.  In a major election, there always seem to be a tug of war over God. Each side believes God belongs to them alone and the other should be rejected as evil. Social media has an uptick of "the end of the world" posts and to get right with Jesus. Evangelicals are calling Trump a savior and an equal amount of Christians are declaring him the antichrist. Who do we trust and where do we go for comfort and sanity?

    Our trust and faith should not be tied up in those calling themselves our leaders. They will always fail. Our trust and faith belong to God/Creator and rational thinking. In His word, the Bible, God has told us no one is in a position of power or leadership unless He ordains it. We may ask ourselves - surely when Hitler was in power, God did not ordain that? Well, when Moses went up against the Pharoah of Egypt God said that Pharaoh was put in that particular place of power for God's own particular reason, and He knew that Pharoah would harden his heart against the people he enslaved. 

    The one thing Trump's first presidency showed the world was the heart of man. As the leader, hatred, racism, prejudice, corruption, and bullying ran rampent during his administration. We are still feeling the reprecussions. Even though Donald Trump has been proven for years to be a criminal in several arenas, the people still hold him in high esteem, or up high on their own debased hearts and minds.

    Why would God have such a man, as Pharoah, over His choosen people? Without that particular Pharoah we would not have had a chance to read about God's miracle after miracle after miracle of saving the Israelites from bondage. Even though it may not seem like it, God is in control at all times over all nations. It is the behavior of his followers that is more important than the corrupt leaders. God has always been concerned with the HEART condition of man. The 21st century has dealt us some serious blows. The people are enraged at the government and the Christian leaders are concerned with their own political agendas. What are the Christians and masses to do? 

     Also in the Bible there is a man named Judas, who in his attemt to ensure right was done, did the unthinkable. Judas wanted to revolt against corrupt government rulers, to fight them with the same measure. Even if he was on the right side, his behavior was the same as those he viewed as evil; violent and divisive. Judas lost sight of his heart condition.

     My book, "The Politics of Prayer" examines the importance of prayer and wisdom when turmoil abounds. There is nothing new under the sun and history is filled with corrupt leaders and revolutions by the oppressed. My book has qoutes by presidents and influential leaders during times when chaos reigned in government. Examples such as during the Cival War each side, North and South, prayed diligently for victory. Each claimed God was on their side. My book reminds the reader to make sure to take care of their heart condition no matter who is in political power. I have collected Bible verses which instruct the reader how true change is accomplished when it comes to politics and how they are supposed to carry themselves when corruption runs rampant. 

    Many people, including Christians are wondering, "How can I survive this harsh economic time and leadership I do not agree with?" The answer for all of our troubles has been to rest and trust in God. All things fade away, but God and His word are everlasting.  Blind loyalty does not belong to a Republican or Democrat, in the end they are all flawed humans.
