More of Beth Moore

Who, you might ask is Beth Moore? If you haven't heard of Beth Moore than you are out of the Christian loop and many of you are fine with that. What is important about Beth Moore is she is sounding the alarm about the treatment of women in church. This is a subject near and dear to my heart and a subject I knew would trip up Kamala Harris in the election. I wrote about this issue before the 2024 election because the writing was on the wall, DOROTHY GUYTON, author (BA, MA) INTERVIEWER: Will Men Vote for a Woman President? So, let me introduce you to my girl, Beth Moore.

Wanda Elizabeth Moore is an American Anglican evangelist, author, and Bible teacher. She is president of Living Proof Ministries, a Christian organization she founded in 1994 to teach women. Living Proof Ministries is based in Houston, Texas. Moore, who is "arguably the most prominent white evangelical woman in America", speaks at arena events and has sold millions of books. Moore continues to write books and produces video resources based on the Bible studies that she conducts at the Living Proof Live conferences, although today they are published through Living Proof Ministries rather than Lifeway Christian Resources. She has taught at conferences for women in Ireland, England, Singapore, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and India.

Okay, now you know who she is, now learn what she said.

Beth Moore Accuses SBC of Prioritizing ‘Protecting the Pulpit From Women’ Over Protecting Women From Abuse. In 2021, Bible teacher, best-selling author, and Living Proof Ministries founder Beth Moore left the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), but that hasn’t stopped her from weighing in on the denomination she served for 40 years. “I can no longer identify with Southern Baptists,” she told Religion News Services five years ago. “I love so many Southern Baptist people, so many Southern Baptist churches, but I don’t identify with some of the things in our heritage that haven’t remained in the past.” One week before the SBC’s annual meeting is scheduled to start, Moore is using social media to call out SBC leadership for being more interested in protecting the pulpit from women preaching than protecting women from “an abusive pulpit.”

This is a BIG deal. A prominent Christian woman is standing up and saying how the church has treated women is appuling and NOT biblical. This belief both she and I share. The book I wrote most inportant to me is my book: "WHEN WILL EVE BE FORGIVEN?" where I look at the passages men use to back up their belief women should have no prominent role within the church. I love this book because it points you to the nature of God towards women. I call it a LEGACY BOOK because women of all generations need this book to dispell church abuse. Many men seem to believe every woman should be submissive to every man, which is not biblical. Women are told to submit to THEIR husband, not every man in a room. What kind of submission a husband gets depends on how he follows God as head of his household. That head of house position comes with the responsibility of being accountable for how he TREATS, protects, and cares for his household. A bad household is the husband's lack of ability to lead, not the woman's fault. He carries the burden. God will be the judge of the married situation. I'm delighted that Beth has taken a public stand against abuse of women in the churcch. It took courage for her to speak out. Hopefully Christian women won't leave her twisting in the wind. Women should let their voices be heard and also know the history of women in the church which my book provides. Republicans are presenting themselves as the Christian party while they demean women reporters and politicians. It's nasty! Sometimes we women have to get nasty too about our rights to be treated with respect not yelled at by a president for asking a question. MEN helped elect Trump on the premise of putting women back in their place. Don't go gently into the night. Stand with pride and glory and refuse their choosen passages of the Bible to demean and not lift up. That's because they don't want to lift you up. Let Christian women join Beth Moore and ME and have more of Beth Moore and supporters.

I'm A Good Black Person, Promise

You would have to live in a cave with no social mediia not to know about the activity of ICE or whoever is under the masks trying to hide their identity. There have been horror story after horror story of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS being snatched off the streets and taken who knows where, being CHEERED by MAGA. When ever a minority speaks up, they are name called and/or accused of hating whites. Well, get ready to say those same things about me.

Many people say they are getting what they deserve coming to America illegally and then committing crime. And we DO have an immigration problem and a cruelty problem. Other ethnicities are watching the callous and at times vicious way Hispanics are being treated. There are many illegal immigrants in America, there is a large Russian population in Oregon. Those immigrants are not checked for documentation nor targeted in any way. If you are an African American, your antenna should be up. Blacks were FORCED immigrants and once their FREE manual labor was not ALLOWED by law, white's no longer had an appetite for Black people and called for them to be, "Sent BACK to Africa."

Just like Hispanics and other Latin people are just being sent away SOMEWHERE, Black people are wondering, will the call for them to be deported to another country be raised again. In an compassionless and lawless Trump administration, this fear may become reality.

History no longer wants American History to include slavery. The narrative is being changed, slaves were HAPPY, even thankful to be housed and fed by Christian-oriented Masters. Republican officials have floated that the slave was happy to have work, food, housing, and work. They were taken care of and thankful. Only a white person WANTS to believe that.

The history of the slave, or Black American is being rewitten. Those who accept a different accounting of American history are name called. They have been put in the WOKE catergory which is believing the opposite of the Republican mindset. As with DEI where the white people claim any position which requires education must have been given to an unqaulified Black person over a entitled white person. The white person's intelligence or competency is never questioned. If a white person applies for a job, then they ARE quaslified. End of story. There was not even a call to see if Black people ARE qualified for a job, its assumed they are NOT.

But Blacks did well for themselves. The number and rate of Black Americans graduating from college increased significantly after the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The act helped dismantle many of the systemic barriers that had historically blocked access to higher education for Black Americans, such as segregation and unequal funding for schools. While the Voting Rights Act primarily addressed voting rights, it was part of a larger civil rights movement that, along with subsequent legislation like the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and affirmative action policies, created new opportunities for Black students. Blacks are still considered uneducated and only criminals.

Historically and currently, Black people have achieved excellence in all fields despite significant barriers. A wide range of professions have been transformed and advanced by the ingenuity and talent of Black individuals. Artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kara Walker, and Kerry James Marshall have gained international acclaim, while earlier pioneers such as Augusta Savage and Jacob Lawrence were central to the Harlem Renaissance. 

Medicine: Trailblazers include Dr. Charles Drew, who developed blood storage techniques, and Dr. Alexa Canady, the first Black female neurosurgeon in the United States. Aerospace: Dr. Mae Jemison was the first Black woman to travel in space, while Katherine Johnson's mathematical calculations were critical to early NASA missions. Invention: Inventive minds have shaped daily life. Garrett Morgan invented the three-position traffic signal, and Lonnie G. Johnson, a NASA engineer, invented the Super Soaker water gun. 

Many would say, this DEPORTATION scheme began because of Barak Obama's presidential win. The truth of Black intelligence was being DISCREDITED every day a Black man who was NOT the accepted diffinition of a Black person. The nation, saw INTELLIGENCE, charisma, and moral grounding in the Black man who was to be considered dumb, shifty, lazy, and violent. Obama caused PANIC among the whites. Their lie/propaganda exposed. The religious Right hatched a plan to make minorities ANIMALISTIC again as the SLAVE had been without protest. Law: Thurgood Marshall became the first Black Supreme Court Justice, and lawyers like Fred Gray were central to the Civil Rights Movement. Politics: Barack Obama served as the first Black President of the United States, and Kamala Harris is the first Black and first South Asian Vice President. Shirley Chisholm was the first Black woman elected to Congress and to run for president with a major party. 

Despite historic obstacles, Black entrepreneurs have built successful businesses across various sectors. Historic Businesses: Madame C.J. Walker built an empire as a haircare pioneer in the early 20th century, though her business isn't listed in the search results. Modern Business: Today, Black-owned businesses are thriving in sectors such as healthcare and social assistance, professional services, and transportation. Robert Johnson became the first Black billionaire by founding Black Entertainment Television (BET). There are approximately 1.79 million Black millionaires in America, according to recent estimates, making up about 8% of the country's total millionaire population. This number has grown significantly since 2020, with the amount of African American millionaires increasing over fivefold from 260,000.  

Despite the accomplishments of Black people, social media shows most Americans, Republicans, believe only MINORITIES receive government assistance and want lazy Black people to get a job.White people make up the largest racial group among SNAP recipients, with estimates ranging from about 35% to 45% of all participants. While white individuals represent the largest share in terms of raw numbers, other racial groups, such as Black and Hispanic individuals, have a higher percentage of their total population participating in the program. 

Food Research & Action Center and Peterson Foundation reports show that White participants are the largest single group. For example, one report lists White participants at 37%. Despite being the largest group, White individuals have a lower per capita participation rate compared to other racial groups. This means that while white people are the biggest group of recipients, a larger proportion of the total Black and Hispanic populations use SNAP benefits. Depending on the source and the year of the data, the exact percentage can vary slightly. For example, one source cites 35% for White participants, while another cites 44.6% of adult recipients. 

Approximately 39.6% to 42% of Medicaid enrollees are white, non-Hispanic, with recent data showing around 39.6% and older data indicating about 42%. White people make up a significant portion of Medicaid recipients, though the percentage varies by state, with some rural states having as many as 86% white enrollees. White people make up approximately 75% of Medicare beneficiaries, making them the largest racial/ethnic group in the program. Black and Hispanic individuals together represent a smaller but significant portion, each making up about 10% or slightly less.

While there is no single, official figure for the percentage of white people on Obamacare, recent enrollment data shows that a significant number of white individuals are enrolled in ACA plans. In the 2024 open enrollment period, white consumers represented a large proportion of the total growth in marketplace plan selections. Data from various sources indicate that among those with private insurance, white people had the highest rates of coverage in some recent years, and white individuals also make up a significant portion of those on Medicaid or other public coverage plans. 

The Trump administration and the Republicans are willing to cause ALL Americans to suffer in their effort to HURT minorities. Their telling the people to hang on and trust Trymp. They will be happy in the end. Black people say, "We have always been targeted and have to struggle in a country that DESPISES us and keep their feet on our neck." I say we are NEXT after the HISPANICS and an ATTEMPT will be made to deport Blacks. African billionaires were allowed in passing the immigration laws. Rich WHITE people are being allowed entrance to the country and those HERE are being sent elsewhere.

The churches involvement in the Trump presidency is alarming. Slavery was sanctioned using biblical SCRIPTURE in the past to allow cruelty of another human to be acceptable. Never have Noah been so important to Christians. The IDEA the CHURCH and CHRISTIANS used the Bible to sanction INHUMANE treatment of humans lets anyone know the DEPRAVITY of a soul. The church, they say, was silent during that time. Now the CHURCH is the number one supporter of CLEANING up America, returning it to its former glory. That time of glory, WHEN WHITES HAD ALL THE MONEY AND POWER.

Education is being attacked and intelligence is the ENEMY. EDUCATION has always been the equalizer that's why slaves were not allowed to learn to READ. On the popular television show, "Handmaid's Tale." On this patriarchy gone insane show, women are not allowed to read. It is happening AGAIN. Education is be crafted to fit an agenda for whites.

Black people, I just want to say, you've done well for yourself. The NARRATIVE has always been, "They need to LEAVE OUR country," and we have felt it for decades. Black people being able to get up everyday and face RACISM white people mockingly say DOESN'T exist, is commendable and made us into SURVIVORS. We've been GOOD people under terrible circumstances. There are those who are angry and bitter at being disdained for the color of their skin alone before they say a word. It's a campaign white people are united in. Their ILL ways are covered over with lies or distraction from them, have always been deployed.

The threat of a white woman saying she is afraid of a Black alarms an entire county and state. It is whipped up, PROTECT THE WHITE WOMAN! It is always employed to bring FEAR in the white community. Yes, the "protection of white women" has been, and continues to be, used as a powerful tool in racist ideologies and actions. This has been particularly evident in the United States, where the concept has historically served as a pretext for racial violence and the maintenance of white supremacy. 

The white woman's fright has been used to justify criminal acts throughout history against different races including Asians, Native Americans, and Italians. Trump is sending in the military so WIVES can safely walk down the street without their husband's protection.

So, Black person, you have been good and continue to be. Guns sales rose to an incredible number after Barak Obama's election to the presidency. Gun sales increased significantly after Barack Obama became president in 2009. The trend was driven primarily by gun owners' fears that the new administration, along with other Democrats, would pass stricter gun control legislation, so they said. Immediately following the election, gun stores across the country reported that sales had doubled or even tripled. A similar, though less dramatic, spike in sales occurred after his second election victory in 2012. While the primary driver was concern over gun control, other factors contributed, including rising anxiety during the economic downturn and increased sales in general. I believe they believed Obama being Black, would pay them back for the autrocities committed and continue to be committed against Blacks. White's were afraid of retribution like what Trump is handing out. Obama, a Black man, showed the WORLD, he is a BETTER man.

Even though I've been what whites would consider a good Black, I read the comments of many White people saying I'm lazy, an immoral product of my CULTURE, looking for government handouts. So far from the truth for the majority of my PEOPLE. It doesn't matter. America is waiting on the SECOND CIVIL WAR. They are armed and have a racist president to do THEIR dirty work and the CHURCH is on board with this. After evangelizing the Blacks into a religion that said they are slaves, the church is abondoning its converts again. Hispanics tend to be more religious than non-Hispanics, but religious affiliation is shifting, with a growing number of Hispanics identifying as religiously unaffiliated. While Catholicism remains the largest religion among U.S. Hispanics, its share has declined significantly over the past decade, and there is a notable increase in evangelical Protestants and other Christians, reports Pew Research Center. PROBLEM.

After attending Seminary, I discovered most American Christians have disdain for Catholics. Most Christians recognize Catholics as fellow Christians, but some views differ due to varying doctrines and practices. Common points of contention include the authority of the Pope, prayer to Mary and saints, confession to a priest, and differing views on salvation, while others focus on shared beliefs like the Trinity and Jesus's death and resurrection, viewing these commonalities as more significant. Iv'e heard a pastor and professor call them, "The cult of Mary."

In 2015, 14% of U.S. infants were multiracial or multiethnic, nearly triple the share in 1980. In 2018, roughly 4% of all children in the U.S. were multiracial, a figure that is growing along with intermarriage rates. By 2020, the number of people who identified as multiracial reached 10.2% of the U.S. population, an increase from 2.9% in 2010, due in part to improved data collection methods. Infant statistics (2015): About one in seven infants were multiracial or multiethnic, a rate that has almost tripled since 1980. This growth is linked to the rise in intermarriages. Overall child population (2018): Roughly 4% of children under 18 were multiracial. The share of nonwhite children is growing and, as of 2018, was just over 50% of the total child population. PROBLEM.

There is a noted increase in men joining the church now. The church supports their IDEOLOGY of hate of Black and brown people and WHITE SUPREMACY. If whites are in charge then the United States will be a better place. The problem is they are religious and demonstating evil ways. Do they really want EVERYONE to be like them? Yes! WHITE and in their reality RICH. But white people are NOT procreating producing more whites. In fact, they are dying faster than being born. BIG PROBLEM.

My advice is, keep doing you Black person and KNOW you have been right all along, you are hated in your own COUNTRY. And it's not just whinning as I've read on social media. Why were Blacks not included in this MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN plan? Because it doesn't include us. How long are Black people to prove, we are GOOD people? All ethnicities have people of ill-repute and criminals. Why are WE the ones labled BAD from BIRTH? How long are Blacks to PROVE we should NOT be HATED? We need to ban together and reassure ourselves of our worthiness and not be cowared. We must stand in unty in pride. We ARE survivors and we WILL survive this administration. Stand in your HONOR and DIGNITY. Pay attention to how brown people and Black people are being treated. And like Kamala Harris said, "We Won't Go Back!"

Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month. The national theme for 2024 is "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.” Throughout 2024, we acknowledge the example of women who embrace everyone and exclude no one in the common quest for freedom and opportunity. The list of women who made an impact on history is long.

The Christian view of women has been limiting to say the least. Their contribution as a created being is to be in a 'supporting' role to her husband. He body, even though miraculous, at times is only applauded as an incubator for new life. Her VALUE is as caretaker and nurturer of home and family. Recently, there has been fear stoked with the possibility of women being returned to the supporting role by a plan drawn up by Republicans named Project 2025. Established in 2022, the project seeks to recruit tens of thousands of conservatives to Washington D.C., to replace existing federal civil service workers it characterizes as the "deep state", to further the objectives of the next Republican president. Being backed by Evangelicals, people fear their biblical views will also be incorporated/legislated into Project 2025.

There has always been a time when women were needed in more than just a supporting role and that will always remain true. Attempts to teach history in schools, is an attempt to keep people from knowing their individual contributions shape a country and world. Women must remember, no matter who the world 'tells' them thy are, they were created for a reason and purpose. First, lets look at some women who had a PURPOSE and then look at the REASON for their creation.

1. Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888). Alcott worked to support her family through financial difficulties at an early age, and managed to write “Little Women,” one of the most famous novels in American history. Her other famous writings include “Little Men” and “Jo’s Boys.” (Recommended biography here.)
2. Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906). Anthony played a pivotal role in the women’s suffrage movement. In 1878, she and co-workers presented an amendment to Congress that would give women the right to vote. In 1920, Sen. Aaron A. Sargent, R-Calif., introduced the bill and it was ratified as the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. (Recommended biography here.)
3. Clara Barton (1821-1912). Barton founded the American Red Cross and served as its first president. She was a nurse during the Civil War for the Union Army. (Recommended biography here.)
4. Nellie Bly (1864-1904). A journalist, she launched a new kind of investigative reporting. She is best known for her record-breaking trip around the world by ship in 72 days. (Recommended biography here.)
5. Amelia Earhart (1897-1939). Earhart, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, received the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross for her accomplishments. Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared in 1937 over the central Pacific Ocean while attempting to fly around the globe. (Recommended biography here.)
6. Jessie Benton Fremont (1824-1902). Fremont was a writer and political activist. She was considered the brains behind her husband, John C. Fremont, and his famous exploration westward. She turned his notes into readable books and made connections in Washington, D.C., that eventually made him famous. (Recommended biography here.)
7. Marguerite Higgins (1920-1966). Higgins was a reporter and war correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. She advanced the cause of equal opportunity for female war correspondents and was the first woman awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Foreign Correspondence in 1951. (Recommended biography here.)
8. Grace Hopper (1906-1992). A computer scientist and Navy rear admiral, Hopper played an integral role in creating programs for some of the world’s first computers. (Recommended biography here.)
9. Julia Ward Howe (1819-1910). Howe was a poet and author, her most famous work being “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” She was also a social activist for women’s suffrage. (Recommended biography here.)
10. Harriet Jacobs (1813-1897). Jacobs, a writer, escaped slavery and later was freed. She published a novel, “Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl,” credited as the first to highlight the struggles of rape and sexual abuse within slavery. (Recommended biography here.)
11. Barbara Jordan (1936-1996). Jordan was a lawyer, educator, politician, and civil rights movement leader. She was the first southern African-American woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and the first African-American woman to give a keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. 12. Coretta Scott King (1927-2006). The wife, and later widow, of Martin Luther King Jr. played an important role in preserving the legacy of the civil rights leader. Following his assassination in 1968, she founded the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. She later lobbied for her late husband’s birthday to be recognized as a federal holiday. (Recommended biography here.)
13. Clare Boothe Luce (1903-1987). Luce was an author, conservative politician, and U.S. ambassador to Italy and Brazil. She was the first woman appointed to an ambassadorial role abroad. Luce served in the House of Representatives from 1943-1974. (Recommended biography here.)
14. Dolley Madison (1768-1849). Madison was the nation’s first lady during James Madison’s presidency from 1809-1817. She helped to furnish the newly reconstructed White House in 1814, after the invading British burned it to the ground, and is credited with saving the Lansdowne portrait of George Washington from the flames. 15. Sandra Day O’Connor (1930-Present). A lawyer, O’Connor became a celebrated judge and eventually the first female justice on the Supreme Court, serving from 1981-2006. President Ronald Reagan appointed her. (Recommended biography here.)
16. Rosa Parks (1913-2005). Parks was the most prominent female face of the civil rights movement. In December 1955, Parks refused to give up her seat in the “colored section” of a bus to a white man and was charged with civil disobedience. She is known as “the mother of the freedom movement.” (Recommended biography here.)
17. Sally Ride (1951-2012). A physicist and astronaut, Ride joined NASA in 1978. Five years later, in 1983, she became the first American woman to go to outer space. (Recommended biography here.)
18. Sacagawea (1788-1812). Sacagawea was a Lemhi Shoshone woman best known for her expedition with Lewis and Clark through the territory of the Louisiana Purchase. The Native American traveled from North Dakota to the Pacific Ocean with the explorers. (Recommended biography here.)
19. Phyllis Schlafly (1924-2016). Schlafly was a constitutional lawyer and conservative political activist. She is best known for her critiques of radical feminism and her successful campaign against ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution. (Recommended biography here.)
20. Muriel F. Siebert (1928-2013). Known as “the first woman of finance,” Siebert was the first woman to head a firm traded on the New York Stock Exchange. (Recommended biography here.)
21. Margaret Chase Smith (1897-1995). A Republican politician, Smith served in the House of Representatives from 1940-1949 and the Senate from 1949-1973. She was the first woman to serve in both houses of Congress. (Recommended biography here.)
22. Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896). The abolitionist and author’s most well-known work is the novel “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” which portrayed the impact of slavery on families and children. Its impact led to Stowe’s meeting with President Abraham Lincoln. (Recommended biography here.)
23. Sojourner Truth (1797-1883). An abolitionist and women’s rights activist, Truth was born into slavery and escaped with her infant daughter to freedom in 1826. She became best known for her “Ain’t I a Woman?” speech on racial inequalities in 1851 at the Ohio Women’s Rights Convention. (Recommended biography here.)
24. Harriet Tubman (1820-1913). Tubman escaped from slavery in 1849 and became a famous “conductor” of the Underground Railroad. Tubman risked her life to lead hundreds of slaves to freedom using that secret network of safe houses. (Recommended biography here.)
25. Mercy Otis Warren (1728-1814). Warren was a writer and propagandist of the American Revolution. She published poems and plays that attacked the British empire and urged colonists to resist Britain’s infringement on their rights. (Recommended biography here.)  

The list goes on and on. There have always been great men in history, but contributions from both sexes were needed in the world. If it were not so, God would have stopped when he created MAN. In Genesis 2:7 we read, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed life into his nostrils, the breath of life and man became a living soul. AND YET GOD CREATED WOMAN. Women have always been necessary.

In Genesis 12:1-3 we read, "The Lord had said to Abram, leave your country, your people, and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you. I will make your name great and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse and all people on earth will be blessed through you."

Abraham was given a promise of nation, land, and seed. AND YET GOD CREATED WOMAN. The promise was given to Abraham, but his wife Sarah had her part in the promise. She was the one who would carry and deliver the first generation to take part in the promise. She was the mother of the promise fulfilled.

We are all familiar with Samuel, who is known by Bible scholars as a king maker. In I Samuel 9, Samuel anoints Saul as the people’s king and in I Samuel 16 he anoints David, who is God’s king. YET GOD CREATED WOMAN.

Before Samuel was a kingmaker, he was a deep yearning within his mother, Hannah’s heart. God granted her petition in prayer for a son whom she named Samuel, because, as she said, “I have asked him of the Lord.” And this one thing, a child, she desired so much for such a long time, she gave back to the Lord with gladness as we read in I Samuel 1:27-28. Here, the role of mother goes a step farther to sacrifice. This is a sacrifice where a mother loves God enough to let go.

Now let’s look at a man’s man named Samson in the book of Judges. Samson was a man who tore a lion’s mouth apart with his bare hands, struck down a thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey, and who can forget his dramatic exit from life when he prayed one last time for strength from God to destroy his captors, his taunters, in one last show of strength. God answered his prayers, and he was able to push two pillars and collapse the temple, killing many more when he died than while he lived. AND YET GOD CREATED WOMAN.

Deborah, the only female judge out of 16 men did not possess the strength of Samson, but she did possess obedience to a command to be fearless in battle. She was fearless in battle not because of her own strength, but because God was with her. You can read about Deborah and her God-given victory over an enemy of Israel’s in the book of Judges along with the story of Samson. In Judges 5, we are allowed to read the song of praise Deborah offered up to God for being with her and Israel during their time of trouble.

Let us forever remember and never forget our Savior Jesus Christ handpicked twelve men known as the twelve disciples. We read in the book of John 17:12, these men were selected by God. We know this because Jesus prayed for them, “While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.” AND YET GOD CREATED WOMAN. There was not one female named among the disciples.

But look at Mark 14:3-9:“While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.

Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.

“Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

This unnamed woman did a service. She did what she could with what she had. She gave her best to Jesus. Onlookers made comments and even protested. Jesus considered what the unnamed woman did to be so great, he said she would be remembered wherever the gospel was preached. She is connected to the gospel just as the disciples are connected to the gospel.

The last man of God I would like to look at happens to be joined at the hip to a woman in the Scriptures. Acts 28:18 introduces them as Priscilla and Aquilla who open their home to Paul and as a team they gave Apollos more instruction to help him minister to the populous. Notice I said they were a team.

Now let’s go back to the beginning to that perfectly formed man named Adam. God was pleased with His creation AND YET GOD CREATED WOMAN. Why? Genesis 2:18 says it best, “And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a help meet for him.” Remember woman was made before the curse of labor, so she was created purely for companionship. We can read from Genesis 1:1-3:17 that the ground was not cursed. There were not any thorns or thistles, no herbs, nor any sweating by man’s brow. There was no work for the “help mate” to help with at the time of her creation.

I have said all of this to say AND YET GOD CREATED YOU, because he needed everything WOMAN has to offer. Women offer the ability to reproduce like Sarah, heirs to a promise. Women offers the ability to care and love others sacrificially like Hannah. Women offer the ability to obey, lead, and direct like Deborah. Women offer the ability to give their best gifts and service to God in example and deed like the unnamed woman of the gospel. Women offer the ability to be part of a team in kingdom work as Priscilla did with her husband.

My last point is woman has the ability to be what God originally created Eve to be, a much needed and desired counterpart and companion for man. Woman was also created to observe and to partake of the beauty of the world God created for mankind. Women are to realize “she” is a gift to man and to creation. Women are to always know, remember, and cherish the fact she is different from man. For every strong, heroic, faithful, chosen man God created, there is a woman of the same beauty, strength, heroism, faithfulness, and chosen status. God saw a need and a purpose for all things he created. The Old Testament and the New Testament echoes the importance and value of both men and women in the Bible. It is of the utmost importance for each woman to know, remember, and cherish, AND YET GOD CREATED WOMAN.
