DNA Biblical Before Scientific

Have you noticed it is harder and harder for people committing crimes such as murder to get away with it? Forensics have proven no matter how careful you are and how well planned a crime is, DNA is always left behind. A hair here, a partial fingerprint there, and if you sweat at the scene of the crime, that's DNA in which may lead to your apprehension. DNA analysis has become the go to in solving and catching criminals. The biological material used to determine a DNA profile include blood, semen, saliva, urine, feces, hair, teeth, bone, tissue, and cells. Which means wherever you go, you leave a piece of yourself behind in some way. As Clint Eastwood would say, "Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?”

In the beginning of using DNA to catch a criminal, the DNA left at the crime scene was the specific make-up of the criminal. NO TWO PEOPLE HAVE THE EXACT SAME DNA except twins. Identical twins, also called monozygotic (MZ) twins, share 100% of their genes, while fraternal twins, also called dizygotic (DZ) twins, share about 50% of their genes. Identical twins form when a single fertilized egg splits into two babies with the same DNA. 

The recovered DNA was an identifying source of the PERSON who was at the scene of the crime potentially being the one who committed the crime. But they had to match the DNA sample to the individual. Investigators had to have a SAMPLE already collected that would MATCH the sample they had collected from a crime. 

Police search available data banks to see if they have a DNA match. DNA databases are used to help identify the perpetrator. Crime scene evidence can also be linked to other crime scenes through the use of DNA databases.  For example, assume that a man was convicted of sexual assault.  At the time of his conviction, he was required to provide a sample of his DNA, and the resulting DNA profile was entered into a DNA database.  The federal government also collects DNA samples from persons convicted of offenses in certain categories, including crimes of violence or terrorism. 

The Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) Analysis Program is responsible for performing mtDNA analysis of forensic evidence containing SMALL or DEGRADED quantities of DNA on items of evidence submitted from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.  Mitochondrial DNA is a powerful tool available for investigating cases of kidnapping, missing persons, and skeletal remains where nuclear DNA is not present. Any sample left and collected at the scene of a crime can be used. The use of animal, plant, and microbial DNA to provide leads that may link DNA found on or near human perpetrators or victims to the actual perpetrator of the crime is also used.

The use of genealogical DNA samples does not need the actual perpetrator of the crime, but a relative sharing some of the criminal's DNA makeup. They find a relative with some of the criminal's DNA markers and TRACE the family member through his family tree narrowing down the criminal.

Police can't access the databases of direct-to-consumer DNA testing giants such as AncestryDNA and 23andMe without getting a court order from a judge first. Most turn instead to GEDmatch or FamilyTreeDNA — the two genealogy sites that don't require a warrant to access the data. Thierry Bernard, the CEO of GEDmatch’s parent company Qiagen, said in January 2023, about 70% of the GEDmatch database’s 1.8 million profiles are viewable to police. 

All of this ability to find criminals through DNA and Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is an exciting breakthrough for scientists and forensic investigators to solve crimes, but it is nothing new to those who read and study the Bible. Within the pages of the Bible, it tells you the power of BLOOD.

 "...the voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground" appears in Genesis 4:10-11. This was said by God to Cain when he killed his brother Able and tried to pretend, he didn't know what had happened to his brother.

Numbers 35:33 says, "So you shall not pollute and defile the land in which you live; for [the shedding of innocent] blood pollutes and defiles the land..."

Hebrews 4:13: "And no creature is HIDDEN from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account..."

"But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an ACCOUNTING from every ANIMAL. And from each MAN, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man. Genesis 9:4-5.

Throughout the Bible the importance of BLOOD is clear and any blood shed, human or animal, the blood tells a story that must be accounted for to God.  Blood SPEAKS and anything the lifeblood touches also speaks such as skin. spit, and hair.

Criminals may have been able to get away with murders and other violent crimes from police, but NEVER from God. Humans have developed scientific methods enabling them to see and hear what the biologicals sample have to say pertaining to who the sample belongs to. But God was the originator of being able to understand ALL biological samples of man. God SOLVED all of the CRIMES and said he will have an accounting of why the blood was spilled.

Many Christians prefer to ONLY rely on the Bible and turn their nose up at science. There is no need to DISMISS science to prove faith in the Bible and God because science usually gives the Bible more proof of its intended meanings. One of my Seminary professors said, science is always catching up to the Bible.

So, if you are thinking of committing a crime, remember, innocent blood cries out. Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?”

 

What's Love Got To Do With It?

LIFE IS NOT THAT SERIOUS. TAKE TIME TO SMILE AND HAVE A LAUGH WHEN POSSIBLE

    Today is Valentines Day and there are people enjoying the day celebrating being in love with their special someone. And there are those who have not found their special someone and are not feeling so cheery today. It's okay. I'm here to hopefully uplift you with my writing about the crazy world of nature and how humans are only a BIT different when it comes to "Getting busy" "Knocking boots" "Hooking up" "Doing the Wild Thang" and what ever the young people slang is for having SEX (leave a comment which I know you will tell me how my slang is outdated).

    This post was originally written in the height of spring 2023. I love it so much I wanted to share it with you again on this day when everyone's attention is on having a significant OTHER or not having one. Let me be your significant OTHER today and let me shower YOU today with a smile. My BEST gift I can give to you.

    There are few people who cringe when the topic of sex is brought up. Parents belong to the group of cringers when it comes to thinking about their sweet innocent children one day having sex. On the other hand, children cringe thinking of the possibility their geriatric parents EVER had sex.

    Be that as it may, live long enough and you too will eventually have sex. Live long enough and you will regret your choice of at least one sex partner. 

    I know many decided to click on this blog, this particular post, hoping for some steamy or even perverted writing regarding SEX. I aim to please.

    The problem you may find with this writing is that it is not about people having sex; well, not diectly. I will not be offering my expertise in this area nor any new-found techniques or positions. Believe me, no matter how good or unique you may believe yourself to be in this area, there is nothing new under the sun and many masters exist.

    With my gardening backgroud, passion, and enjoyment, I find this time of year to be a-buzz with sexual activity in the insect world. EVERYTHING is trying to recreate itself and PLEASURE does not seem to factor into it as it does with us humans. But, as always, there is always a hint of the animal world or nature found within ourselves.

    

    The male ladybug evidently does not need much or expects any participation from the lady he chooses to spend some time with. Human men have a cheif complaint of sex being 'horrible' with a woman/partner who just lays there. The male ladybug is able to go for HOURS. Many human woman may nor prefer hours, but have a complaint of the sexual union ending far quicker than she would hope. But as with the male ladybug, there is a certain amount of "I'm in this just for me" that crosses over into the human sexual experience. But, come on dude; she's DEAD.

    Men also complain women use sex as a bargaining chip. Want to have sex? Take out the garbage, or buy me a gift, take me to a movie or dinner, etc., etc., etc. To just get in on the action, the male human has to do a great deal (according to them). So women, give the man what he wants. SEX and instant DEATH just like the female praying mantis does.

    Everybody knows that men think about sex every seven seconds. What people haven’t perhaps considered is that means more than 8000 times a day or 56 000 times a week. Really? Did everybody know that?  When The Kinsley Institute researchers asked men and women how often they think about sex, 54 percent of men said they think about sex several times a day, 43 percent responded a few times per week or just a few times per month, and 4 percent said less than once a month. Meanwhile, 19 percent of women said they thought about sex every day or several times a day, 67 percent responded a few times per week or a few times a month or, and 14 percent said less than once a month. So the every seven seconds is myth and legend.

     But, would they think of it at all if their balls exploded and they died after that ONE glorious orgasm? Women wouldn't be at risk of dying after an orgasm since women said they reach orgasm 31-40% of the time in response to the question about intercourse in general. By contrast, women said they reached orgasm even more often with assisted intercourse (51-60% of the time), but less often with unassisted intercourse (21-30% of the time). Women are just destined to outlive men lol. No EXPLOSIONS going on her way.

    

    We women are not as extreme as the dragonfly in our efforts to get out of having sex, but does the phrase: "Not tonight dear. I have a headache" ring a bell? Men, never the wiser, have not realized their sexual partner somehow freakishly has at least three 'periods' a month rendering them temporarily out of commission in the sex department. Thank goodness, along with getting directions, men don't do the math on menstrual cycles per month. Moving right along.

    Okay ladies. By a show of hands how many of you have been awakened from a sound sleep by an object, which you recognized imeediately as a penis, pokinng you in the back? WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? Men, you use that sexual organ like a heat seeking missile!! A poke here. A poke there. I mean, REALLY! Do you ever think it can be a traumatizing experience in the same way as the bedbug? No. In your charm, you view it as an assault with a FRIENDLY WEAPON. And God love you, we women giggle and join in.

    All of the above sex acts seem so UNNATURAL, but they are completely NATURAL in the insect world and the human world. All of the sexual interactions must occur in order for survival to continue. The persistent and tenacious gets to procreate and pass along DNA. Taking chances to mate with the dead and sometimes half dead, is a chance worth taking. Going after the desired ONE, at the risk of loss of life and limb, is worth it. Faking death and illness to get out of MATING insures the BEST DNA is passed along. Women do have to be selective in choosing the father of her offspring; a lesson needed to be learned and understood in this generation of sexually active, child bearing age people.

     Right now the air, literally, the air is filled with sexual activity in every direction the eye can rest. When we think about having the 'sex talk' with our children it is not referred to the 'birds and the bees' talk for no reason. If we were to actually explain what the birds and bees are truly doing it would frighten our children off of the idea of ever having sex. Even though it's hard for parents to hold the thought of their blossoming children becoming sexually active, we don't want them to NOT EVER have a happy healthy sex life. But, man, it's harsh out there for a bug.

We Are A Trinity Too

     

    Humans are COMPLICATED! I could stop right there and not say another word because that sums up what we are as human beings: complicated. Psychology has tried to explain the human mind and how it affects our human behavior. Theory after theory has been presented and diagnosis after diagnosis is attributed. But through all of the study by experts of human beings, the conclusion remains, people are complicated and cannot be put into ONE nice neat package wrapped with a lovely bow.

    After speaking with my daughter and she laughingly admitting, "I'm so much like daddy," I had to agree. But on the other hand, she does so many little things that remind the family of me. All of a sudden it came to me and I said, "You are three people. You are dad, me, and your quirky self. You are a TRINITY."

    It's true. We acknowledge on a biological level that our children possess DNA from the father and the mother. The passed along DNA gives the child certain PHYSICAL characteristics from each parent. We are comfortable acknoledging our sweet little child has their father's ears or feet or our child has their mother's eyes or delicate hands. We look for those passed along similarities often with joy. But then there are those times of frustration or stress when we say with not so happy feelings, "You act just like your father. You act just like your mother." Oh, if you are a parent, sooner or later, it slips out. We also know it is not good for a child's mental health to be told they behave like a parent who has been disappointing, missng, abusive, or any other negative attribute by a parent. 

     But, when I began to think about the THREE-PART-PERSON on a level other than biological, I thought, "If we are created in the image of God and God consists of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, then may we also on another level exist as a TRINITY on another level?"

    Children who have been raised with a single parent, mysteriously enough still have certain BEHAVIOURS of the absent parent even though they were never exposed to those behaviours to mimic or incorporate internally from enviromental exposure. You may notice the child tilts their head in a certain way when they laugh just like the absent parent. The child may hold objects or react to things in the same way as their absent parent and it usually blows the present parent's mind.

    There is an ESSENCE to us we carry from our parent in which glimpses are always peeking through. I don't believe scientists have come to a conclusion saying PERSONALITY traits are passed down from each parent. Scientist have said NURTURE and ENVIROMENT (nature) have the biggest influence on a child's development not exactly knowing which is the most influential at all times in a child's life. But who has looked at the SPIRITUAL part of the transfer children receive from EACH parent?

    In Christianity, it is taught that the body is only a TEMPORARY housing for the spirit. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. In Thessalonians 5:23 it says, "And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your SPIRIT, and SOUL, and BODY be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ." Our material bodies are evident, but our souls and spirit are less distinguishable. Thessalonians also shows the TRINITY within us in that particular verse.

    Each day, if what I am now coming to believe is true, then we each walk around EVERYDAY with the SPIRIT or essence TRANSFER from each of our parents along with our own individual SPIRIT or essence. That is MINDBLOWING isn't it? I have come to advocate for dating people to be knowledgeable of the people you may PROCREATE with. RIGHT? We are doing some serious transfers with each others and to our children. 

     I want to also say we need to nurture those transfers were receive from each of our parents present or absent. A person is NOT ALL BAD OR ALL GOOD. Parents should recognize those little quirks and if there is a comment; make it a positive one. If correction is needed; be gentle and positive too. But, I do wonder, "How much of the TRINITY can be changed and manipulated by us mere mortals?" We didn't put it there so can we change it?

    Anyway, I just found it awesome to discover we are created in the image of our Creator in such a dynamic way. We are a TRINITY also in so many ways.
