Lust/Love and Social Media

Tina Turner had a song which asked, "What's love gotta do with it?"

You must understand, though the touch of your handMakes my pulse reactThat it's only the thrill of boy meeting girlOpposites attract
It's physicalOnly logicalYou must try to ignore that it means more than that

Oh-oh, what's love got to do, got to do with it?What's love but a second-hand emotion? What's love got to do, got to do with it?Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Seems like Tina was on to something. She tried to clue us in to the FACT that what a person is calling LOVE at first sight is no more than ATTRACTION and/or LUST. Dating people rarely make it to the true LOVE stage. Let's talk.

Even though many of us don’t want to admit it, good looks are the strongest factor influencing attraction. That’s according to Madeleine A. Fugère, Ph.D., a psychology professor at Eastern Connecticut State University and author of The Social Psychology of Attraction and Romantic Relationships. Cultural and family norms can have a big impact on the types of people we might choose to pursue or not pursue as potential romantic partners also.

Mating market preferences and decisions regarding attractiveness are arguably based on three core areas: appearances (aesthetics), personal characteristics and qualities (personality), and the ability to provide (resource) access and security to potential suitors.

Social media allows the modern man (and women) to be a hunter. Not a hunter of animals, but a hunter of women (men).

Hunting is viewed as status or competition among men and within their community. Hunting for men, more rarely for women, is fascinating and emotionally arousing with the parallel release of testosterone, serotonin, and endorphins, which can produce feelings of euphoria and alleviate pain. Dopamine is also a chemical released by the brain and is usually described as a “reward chemical”, whose evolutionary function is to give us an emotional hit when engaged in activities that are likely to improve our reproductive success such as hunting. For centuries, a man being a successful hunter elevated his status among the other men and increased his potential for mating with the females.

According to a team of scientists led by Dr. Helen Fisher at Rutgers, romantic love can be broken down into three catagories: lust, attraction, and attachment. Each category is characterized by its own set of hormones stemming from the brain. Lust is driven by the desire for sexual gratification. The hypothalamus of the brain plays a big role in this, stimulating the production of the sex hormones, testosterone and estrogen, from the testes and ovaries. Testosterone increases libido in just about everyone.

Attraction involves the brain pathways that control “reward” behavior, which partly explains why the first few weeks or months of a relationship can be so exhilarating and even all-consuming. This is that on cloud nine stage of dating.

Dopamine, produced by the hypothalamus, is a particularly well-publicized player in the brain’s reward pathway – it’s released when we do things that feel good to us. In this case, these things include spending time with loved ones and having sex. High levels of dopamine and a related hormone, norepinephrine, are released during attraction. These chemicals make us giddy, energetic, and euphoric, feelings even leading to decreased appetite and insomnia – which means you actually can be so “in love” that you can’t eat and can’t sleep.

Many people in the dating scene ONLY want the lust and attraction stage of relationships. When the 'feel good' chemicals no longer give them their cloud nine feeling, they believe the love is gone when the relationship never entered the love stage. The lust and attraction hormones are the most powerful 'street' drugs making short-term relationship addicts out of the everyday person.

Brain scans of people 'in love' have actually shown that the primary “reward” centers of the brain, including the ventral tegmental area and the caudate nucleus, fire like crazy when people are shown a photo of someone they are intensely attracted to, compared to when they are shown someone they feel neutral towards (like an old high school acquaintance). The same brain regions light up when we become addicted to material goods as when we become emotionally dependent on our partners. And addicts going into withdrawal are not unlike love-struck people craving the company of someone they cannot see.

When looking at attachment oxytocin is often nicknamed the “cuddle hormone” for this reason. Like dopamine, oxytocin is produced by the hypothalamus and released in large quantities during sex. Cuddling can lead to attachment. Attatchment can lead to long-term relationships. [1] Men figured out a long time ago that cuddling after sex means you are in a relationship. Think back to people you were with sexually and whether or not they enjoyed cuddling with you.

Social media is over stimulating attraction, lust, and the hunter-conqueror aspect of men with quick, easy access to beautiful women around the world of different ethnicities and cultures. I emphasize beautiful women because its scientific fact men are more sexually aroused by visual stimuli (photos), but women are more sexually aroused by concrete, auditory, olfactory, touch and emotionally relevant sexual stimulation. The internet is a crack dealer offering a wide selection of men and women to get HIGH on daily.

The mating game has always been a game about dipping into a healthy gene pool. Science continues to tell us men and women want to have a mate who is healthy.

Physical characteristics (e.g., narrow waist, long legs, and medium–large breasts) play an important role in determining attractiveness and selecting a potential mate for men. According to research, men prefer women with long, thick, and shiny hair. Turns out, they subconsciously consider this an indicator of good health, vital energy, and even a sign of fertility.

Studies have shown that pheromones reveal a variety of information about a person, including the one that relates to the health of their immune system. Therefore, men are able to determine women with the best immune system with the help of their smell. Wonder if that is why we wear so much perfume and cologne?

When we first look at a person, we are taking in more information than we realize. The symmetry of the face has a high importance in determining the attractiveness of women. It can even be calculated with the help of several tricks. Men pay attention to these criteria subconsciously because these facial features are a sign of good genes. Asymmetry, on the contrary, is associated with poor health, bad genes, and even abnormalities in the reproductive organs. The condition of women’s teeth plays a significant role for the representatives of the male gender. All because it gives an idea of its “residual reproductive value” regardless of age. I knew that you could check a horse's teeth to determine their age, but I never thought about humans doing it.

Studies have shown that men prefer thin female voices because they are perceived as younger and more womanish and show a high level of estrogen. Moreover, a high-pitched voice also assumes a smaller body size, while a low voice is usually more associated with masculinity, which means that women like men who have a deep voice. When hearing it, they subconsciously imagine a big and strong man.

Though women might be known for spending more time in front of the mirror, it’s actually men who are more judgemental when it comes to looks. According to a 2007 study performed in Germany, men placed far greater importance on the attractiveness of their mates than females. Remember, men are hunters and love to bag a trophy. He goes for the big game.

And while women were still drawn to attractive men, they were more likely to consider dating less attractive individuals if they possessed other qualities they prized. Women choose handsome, tall men for short-term relationships but choose men with status for long-term relationships.

Women with higher BMIs (body mass index) or lower facial attractiveness were less selective in mate selection than their thinner, more attractive counterparts. Furthermore, these women became even less selective when there were more attractive females in the room.[2]  In this case, it was her attractiveness (not his) that influenced her selection. While looks are indeed important to women, they typically base their mate selection on more contextual factors. Surprising examples include the availability of competition and their estimates of their own attractiveness. You are right guys. You can never really know what a woman wants.

Women are not attracted directly to wealth and status, but to the behaviours indicating a man genuinely has wealth and status.

Women are attracted to men with status and wealth. Women must be able to differentiate between the men who genuinely have wealth and social status, and those who are faking. One way to do this is by developing a heightened sense of social perception and recognizing what a successful man's behaviour looks like compared to the behaviour of an imitator. The behaviours become the primary source of attraction.

This provides the explanation for why it seems like wealth, status, and height matter so much. If you were suddenly made better looking, a few inches taller, and inherited a billion dollars, would you behave the same way you do now? Of course not! You’d instantly be more confident, more relaxed, happier, less stressed out, and so on.

Women pick up on these behaviours, and it’s these behaviour patterns that are at the core of attraction, not the wealth and status itself. One study has shown that whether a man is considered attractive has more to do with the absence of bad qualities, rather than the presence of good qualities.

My next point I found as a surprise. The best looking thing on a man may be a good-looking woman. Women rate a man they see with an attractive woman as more desireable than an unattatched man. SURPRISE! Women probably assume partnered-up men must have those qualities of smarts and personality to be an appropriate match for a good-looking mate.

Of course there are hundreds of studies that try to figure out how and why we are attracted to the people we are attracted to. Social media is filled with people giving relationship advice. No matter the findings by professionals and amatuers, no one has found the magic potion to get the person you want to want you back. Those dating in the dating world, with the help of social media, are offered a buffet full of selections. We know a person's appetite can be picky and ever changing. And if diners are like me, they eat their dessert first.

Even with the ease of having a bigger pool to select a mate from, long-term relationships remain elusive. Drugs mess you up. Lust and attraction are 'drug' induced feelings. Addiction to the feel good feelings can make you a serial dater. "Love" addicts fall in and out of love and wonder why they can not find the 'one.' The truth is the 'one' will be boring after the lust and attraction drugs die down or when you build up a tolerence to them. The person then has to decide once the butterflies and fireworks die down, do they still want to be with the person. Most people move on to the next bigger better high. I say it again, social media is a drug dealer.

So, you get no dating advice from me. I will just say good luck and good hunting.

Tips given to make a person more attractive.

1.    Women smile more. Smiling makes women look friendly and “sexually receptive.” The same doesn’t hold true for men. People typically associate expressions of happiness with femininity.

2.    Women, wear the color red. This red-attractiveness link is partially explained by men’s perceptions of implied sexual receptivity among women wearing reddish garb. Studies have shown women tend to wear red and pink when they are biologically more sexually receptive, like during ovulation. Can anyone say Barbie? If you want attention from the ladies, a man's best bet is to stick to red, purple, black, blue, or white (but only white if it's in the form of a plain white t-shirt with jeans).

3.    Don't play hard to get. Recent studies suggest that people are more likely to rate others as attractive if they can easily understand the emotions they’re displaying.

4.    A higher-pitched voice in women is more attractive to men—and vice versa, a lower-pitched voice in men is more attractive to women.

5.    A sense of humor in a man has been scientifically proven to draw the attention of women. Men also find women who laugh at their humor attractive.

6.    Be kind. The ‘halo effect’ suggests that those who are perceived as physically attractive are also perceived as having socially favorable personality traits like kindness.

7.    The most attractive physical features fall under ‘self-care’—things like good grooming, clean hair, nice fitting and quality clothing, good posture, and healthy weight. We are more likely to search out a partner who is healthy and strong (which mean good genes), as well as capable of taking care of future offspring, which is evidenced by how they take care of themselves.

8.    Don't stress. Women seem to be able to detect the men who have the strongest immune response and they seem to find them the most attractive. The researchers suspect that testosterone, which is linked with a strong immune system and low cortisol, also plays a role in attracting women.

9.    Faces with natural makeup were seen favorably but faces with more dramatic makeup were seen as less trustworthy. On social media, men seem to DM women with great bodies and makeup skills, but they don't trust them. Men should grow facial hair, especially a beard because it makes him seem more masculine.

Sexual Desirability of Women Decline

What does it mean when the Red Pill community says a woman "hits the wall?" If you have been following my blog, you know there is a community called the Red Pill. This group originated on Reddit and became a place for men who believed the ills of society were caused by women and now men are not allowed to complain about the chaos women have created to vent. They also believe society favors women over men in many areas especially in the judicial system.

Many of the Red Pill men are confused and frustrated in the dating arena by the way women choose to reject and accept the men they date. This frustration has turned into hostility towards women in the way men view and define today's woman. The men have developed a new vocabulary describing women and the men who interact with them. Various strategies have been proposed by men for men in how to get and keep a woman.

The group has developed a hypothesis stating a woman hits A WALL. Hitting the wall means:

1.    A point at which a woman is no longer sexually desirable to men

2.    Her looks and shapely figure has faded, and with it the power she had to command money, attention, and expensive dates from men.

The Wall Theory is based on the assumption women, in their youth, could give the slightest hint that sex may be on the table and that was enough of a motivation to get horny men to do almost anything. The youthful manipulative woman would play the gullible men with the promise of sex. The young woman would wear revealing clothing, short dresses, swish their hips, and stare at men seductively to get any and everything she wanted. Her promise of sex allowed her access to vacations, material items, even the ultimate sacrifice of marriage from men.

This theory puts forth the notion that women hit the Wall after age 26 because at age 18-25 her attractiveness has peaked and beginning at age 26 her attractiveness starts to decline. A woman's Sexual Market Value (SMV), to men who find her attractive and who she can use the promise of sex declines in the dating market. Once she reaches the age of 30-35, her SMV is shot, and she has to settle for a "Nice Guy" in hopes of having a comfortable life.

This community of men believes the opposite happens to men. Around 30 the men start hitting their stride in terms of looks, social status, and money. A man 30-35 is the most confident, handsome, and successful making him more desirable to women. The 30–35-year-old man chooses to date younger women leaving the 30 something year old woman out in the cold. The 30 something year old woman is therefore in a panic to try to get a man. This group believes the Wall for men is age 50 when women no longer find them attractive.

Should women be in a panic fearing this WALL at age 30 and beyond? I believe everyone at some age acknowledges the fading of their youthful looks, but many embrace their mature beauty. Sexiness is not a number. and to be fair, if a woman uses sex to get what she wants you better believe she can do it at any age. Today's grandmother looks nothing like the grandma of the 70's or 80's. The definition of what makes a woman attractive has changed due to the fact women are attractive physically at a range of ages. Beauty is measured beyond the pretty face to include intelligence and personality. The pool of beautiful women is so prominent until the standard had to include more attributes beyond the "pretty face."

The women who Red Pill men have labeled as the prime woman to date realize these men are hyper-sexualized and bounce from one woman to the next in recreational sex and they are not interested in them either as a mate. Men are not proposing to women in the age range of 18-25 when they as they say are at their peak of attractiveness, let alone women ages 26-30. There is an incorrect assumption by men that women are using their time/sexual peak to play around and manipulate men as long as they can. It is men whom history speaks of as sowing their wild oats, not women. Studies have shown women want relationships and get emotionally involved in sexual relationships when for men, they can have sexual encounters without emotional attachment.

Red Pill men believe their Wall is at age 50 when they are less desired by women. I believe men hit an earlier wall of undesirability. Young men ages 18-27 spend these years trying to earn quick money straight out of high school to spend on going out prowling for women with their male friends and hitting the club scene. Their boy group is important to them for socializing. The young men 18-27 have a group of guy friends they enjoy spending their time with talking about women and sports. The money of the youthful male is spent on his vehicle, video games, and for some the best footwear like Jordans. Here and there they have fathered a child or two.

Once these young men realize their male friends no longer offer the type of companionship that goes beyond fun, they then want a lasting relationship with a woman. This is where their Wall comes into play. Because the young men sowed his wild oats with encouragement by society with no thought for his future, he is not a good candidate for marriage. He still lives at home with his mother, does not have a job which allows him to have an apartment or home to bring a wife to, and has several baby mommas and child support lessening his monetary value, women are turned off by him. Men in their late 20's are in a panic after wasting their youth playing around with other men.

Statistic and research show women are graduating college in record numbers preparing for their financial future while men of the same age say they don't attend college because they don't want to, see no value in it, and finances prevents them from doing so. So, if women hit a Wall around the age of 26-35 due to fading beauty, men hit a Wall around the age of 27-35 due to financial inadequacy. The existence of the Red Pill community demonstrates there is a panic among men ages 27-35 also.

It seems both sexes are finding the dating world difficult from the ages 26 and beyond for various reasons. There may be a number of hypotheses floating around for the reason why it's hard to find a mate. While researching my book Manhood Interrupted An Answer For The Red Pill Man I found that it is the criteria we are demanding a potential mate must have that is the problem.

Social media has introduced us to the most beautiful men and women we have ever seen right at our fingertips. In our consumer age, the 21st Century, we believe we should have the best of everything. Top quality. We, ourselves may not be top quality but we feel entitled to the best. I use top quality and best loosely just because someone is beautiful does not make them the best or top quality. But our eyes have come to lead our brains. A person of good character is overshadowed by our desire to have a trophy mate. Companionship and unconditional love no longer rank higher than looks and money. The decline is not in the other person but in ourselves. If we had to honestly rank our own attractiveness it may be a solid 4 or 5, but we want a person ranking 10 or above. We are the reason/source for our own disappointment in the dating game.

It seems to bring the single man joy that the 30 something single woman is struggling to find a suitable mate. But isn't it a situation where the pot is calling the kettle black?

Lust & Cheating Guarantee

“Money and women are the most sought after and the least known about of any two things we have.”— Will Rogers

Sometimes- late at night- it happens. I see the commercial for Booty Call. I don't know what channel this commercial usually airs on, but I know it is not on a porn site because I don't order the porn channel.

But there the commercial is: one is done with a joke (a pun) "You know the leading cause of divorce is marriage?" And then there is the techno type music one where all forms of desirable bodies are dancing in enticing ways. There has to be a market for this service because the commercial has been around for a while.

I stumbled across an article featuring advice on how to cheat on your mate. To many, the thought of being able to cheat and not getting caught, is actually the rush they are after more so than the actual sexual tryst. Let's look at the secrets of cheating. The advice begins with why a person (in this case a man) would think about cheating in the first place:

1. A woman is most attractive when you don't know a thing about her, a love/lust object.
I think this is a true statement. Mystery is intoxicating and arouses lust from the imaginings of our own brain filling in the unknown with our own secret desires.
The article goes from this point to the place where you are now engaging in the affair.
2. While you're having your affair you need to make up an alternate persona for yourself. Hiding the true you, not leaving any clues to the one being deceived, as to who you really are.
3. If your girlfriend/spouse is getting suspicious of you the best course of action is to get even more suspicious of her. That's right, begin to accuse her of horrible treachery and lies. If it must be done in machine gun fashion; a barrage of attacks, so be it. You are the one who has your back up against the wall, so lie.
But the author of the article ends his tips with an inevitable conclusion:
4. At some point you will be caught. I never made any guarantees to the contrary.
These tips were given for a person who had an attraction to another person while turning a blind eye to promises of fidelity to the person he had made the promises of faithfulness to (did you follow that? 😄😄).
I want to put a spin on this and turn this lustful relationship into an affair between a man and his money and see what happens. Remember, that money is intoxicating and the pursuit of it is the climax for those who lust after it.
“Money, it turned out, was exactly like sex, you thought of nothing else if you didn’t have it and thought of other things if you did.”- James Arthur Baldwin
People without money fantasize about what it's like to have more money (rule #1). You know what it's like to have the money you have. You know what the money you have can do. You become bored just doing the same thing over and over that the money you have allows you to do. Imagining, wondering (mystery), and finding out what it would be like to have it makes you lusty.
Because the love of money (rule #1) and the constant need to obtain it for personal greed is not acceptable to society, a cover, alternate persona (rule #2), must be created to hide your lust for money, so you become a caring money seeker, kind, angelic person who wants to help the hungry or you say you are a business savvy person, or- you get my drift. You create an innocent outer person wanting money but inwardly you're lusting after money to feed your need for materialistic extravagance, desire to be a baller, power, and influence. For some the chase of money is the high and no matter how much they have they want more. People involved in the constant chase may be called hustlers always finding ways to get money. "Business is the art of extracting money from another man’s pocket without resorting to violence". ~Max Amsterdam
Next is when your cover is blown, and people find out about your lustful endeavors. You lie on the other person. no matter how ludicrous the LIE, do it with eyes straight forward and full steam ahead and lie, lie, lie (rule #3). You say it's because she wants so much is why you spend all your time trying to get money. You say if she brought more to the table you wouldn't have to work so hard to earn it. "We live by the Golden Rule. Those who have the gold make the rules." ~Buzzie Bavasi

Oscar Wilde knew how to get lusty: "When I was young, I thought that money was the most important thing in life; now that I am old, I know that it is."

Benjamin Franklin understood the nature of the lusty: "He that is of the opinion money will do everything may well be suspected of doing everything for money."

The Political arena has turned to a show down about money (just like we didn't know that all politics are about money). Money is being hidden in Swiss bank accounts, class warfare is being screamed, and the rich are getting richer. It can be argued Donald Trump, who loves new acquisitions of new money (rule #1), donned an alternative persona (rule #2) of president while pursuing his lust for money. While having the money affair, he made sure who he really was hidden, even to the destroying of White House documents. When accused the lies flew (rule #3), blaming any and everyone and any and everything. The nation is waiting to see if rule #4 will happen and he gets caught and suffer the consequences, which I must add is usually forgiveness from the one who has been deceived and the relationship continues.

The religious community does not escape its lust for the green goddess. The alternate persona????
The religious hide their love affair with money under scripture, Bible verses known as the prosperity gospel or the health and wealth gospel. It is a Christian religious doctrine which claims the Bible teaches that financial blessing is the will of God for Christians. The doctrine teaches that faith, positive speech, and donations to Christian ministries will always increase one's material wealth. It is not certain if the Christian receives wealth if they will use it in the service of God.

Does this type of lustful affair ever become exposed (rule #4)???????Let's check in with TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network)

Their granddaughter, Brittany Koper, recently filed court papers that include allegations of $50 million in financial shenanigans at the world's largest Christian broadcasting network. Her suit was followed by another from a Koper in-law, who detailed opulent spending at the network on items such as private jets, mansions in California, Tennessee, and Florida and a $100,000 mobile home for Jan Crouch's dogs.

The suit came after Koper's husband was accused by a debt collection company of embezzling more than $1 million from TBN. The debt collection company that filed the lawsuit later added the Crouches' granddaughter and two of her in-laws as defendants.

The lawsuit attention comes at a bad time for TBN, which has seen viewer donations drop steeply. TBN raked in $92 million in donations in 2010 and cleared $175 million in tax-free revenue, but its net income plummeted from nearly $60 million in 2006 to a loss of $18 million in 2010, the most recent year available. Donations fell by nearly $30 million in the same period — a hit the network blames on the bad economy.

In 1998, the elder Crouch secretly paid an accuser $425,000 to keep quiet about allegations of a homosexual encounter. Crouch Sr. has consistently denied the allegations, which were first reported by the Los Angeles Times, and has said he settled only to avoid a costly and embarrassing trial.     Well, I guess the author of the article on how to cheat was right; in the end the cheater always gets caught.

To make it clear why I decided to write this blog, I will let the next quote shine the light on my motives:

"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom." (Martin Luther King Jr.).

The lover of war (rule #1) also has alternative persona (rule #2), we have heard the phrase "weapons of mass destruction" (rule# 3), and people got caught cheating (rule #4).
