So many people begin a new year by saying they are going to be a new person, especially women/mothers. Self-care is at the top of their "to do" list. Self-care consists of putting themselves first, taking time to relax, and just making sure they are not burning the candle at both ends. I say congratulation. Loving yourself and taking care of yourself allows you to love and take care of others. But most women are carrying ONE particular burden in their 'baggage' they carry into their daily life and relationships and that burden is SHAME.
Women have been told since the dawn of time how they ruined the lives of every human being in the world. I know you are puzzled by now wondering what I'm referring to, read these quotes from some early church leaders about women:
"Women are a necessary evil, a natural temptation, a desirable calamity, a domestic peril, a deadly fascination, and painful ills (Chrysostom)." [Women] are the gateway to hell (Tertullian)." Women do not have a soul and do not belong to the human race, as shown by many passages of the Holy Scripture (Valentius Acidalius)."
Wow right? Because Eve took a bite of the apple in the garden of Eden, women have been held accountable for the sinning of the world. We are called the 'weaker' sex, men are told we can't be trusted, we are called seducers, and not intelligent. Our position in home and church has been diminished and we are made to feel guilty at every turn in our lives.
Well, it's 2022 and it's time we get rid of the guilt and shame of Mother Eve and know our worth/value as God intended for us. My book When Will Eve Be Forgiven? will clarify how God feels about and defines women in Scripture (not men), why the Apostle Paul is not a male chauvinist as many women believe, and why women should forgive themselves first instead of relying on others to establish their self-worth within the Christian community.
As men voice their dissatisfaction of women being able to say "no" to traditional sex roles, seek higher education, reject unhappy marriages, and as the Pope says, "buy a pet instead of have children" my book encourages women in the choices in their lives. Women who are doing self-care and deciding what works for them in their lives are accused of be 'feminists' or' man haters'. NOT TRUE.

My book is not a book of revolution but a book of evolution of self. Eve may have been responsible for the ORIGINAL sin, but women are not a SIN by nature no more so than men.
