Womanhood, sisterhood, motherhood

Why are our young girls in relationships with men who have no intention of marrying them but willing to impregnate them? Why are these young girls spending hundreds of dollars on weave, nails, eyelashes, and seductive clothing? Why have so many young beautiful women become Twitter or Instagram famous being seductive, sexy, exposed? Why, once again for another year, are they hoping this is the year they find a man to treat them right?

Why did I write When Will Eve Be Forgiven? Not to start a revolution, or movement, or for a call to feminism. I wrote it because one day while teaching a children's Bible school on the Garden of Eden, a 11 year old little girl said, "I hate women. they messed up the world!" And the little boys began agreeing saying how they hated girls that's all they do now is mess up everything just like Eve did in the garden. The little girl began to cry. The little boys laughed. The other little girls looked at me with eyes pleading to say women/girls are good. I had a WOW moment. I had to write a book for girls/women in the church and out of the church.

How many more little girls in Sunday school classes have felt this way before? It's like Critical Race Theory making white children/adults uncomfortable now and being protested against as HATE history. But who is protesting women being belittled in the church? I wondered how have those shamed church girls blossomed and matured into church women and how have church mother's explained womanhood to their little girls when they were ashamed to be associated with Eve, the cause of the fall of man; humanity. So I researched and wrote my book for all those little girls and little girls who became women and mothers.

Today I ask a favor of you and thank you in advance for your participation. Imagine the little girl I spoke about above was your teary-eyed daughter saying she was ashamed of being a female and what you would say to comfort her. As you draw on the right words to say I want to show you the adjectives the book of Proverbs in the Bible uses to describe women form my book Chapter 1:

adulterous, aged, angry, bad, beautiful, brawling, careless, chaste, clamorous, comely, compassionate, complacent, contentious, deceitful, devout, diligent, discreet, dishonest, domestic, drunken, elect, evil, fainthearted, fair, faithful, foolish, foreign, fretful, glorious, godly, good, gracious, grave, great, haughty, high-principled, holy, honest, honorable, impudent, indiscreet, jealous, kind, loose, loving, obedient, odious, outlandish, peevish, peaceable, pitiful, prudent, quarrelsome, reverent, righteous, sensible, serious, shamefaced, shameless, silent, silly, simple, sober, steady, strange, submissive, subtle, temperate, trustworthy, unloved, virtuous, wayward, weak, wealthy, whorish, wicked, wily, worthy, and young.

CONFUSED?

How are our daughters to form a healthy identity as a woman in the church? How have you and how will you help your children, girls and boys, have a healthy understanding about women in the Bible and in the world? Are we as women just leaving our daughter's self-esteem to chance? What is your response to womanhood depicted in the Bible?

It is understandable why men treat women with disregard as well as why young ladies are treating themselves with disregard. We have dropped the ball on a healthy definition and demonstration of womanhood pointing the finger calling men dogs. My book in all humility tries to change this dynamic for all women. Sister, fix your crown. Once again thank you for your comments and feedback.
