DeSantis Whitewash History

HERE WE GO AGAIN. ANOTHER ELECTION. ANOTHER WHITE PERSON INSISTING SLAVERY WAS A GOOD THING. Ron DeSantis was not the FIRST nor will he be the LAST.

*********FLASHBACK*******

Play dirty in your own backyard/home and leave history/education out of it.

It seems like I have to make this statement. Lately the news has been reporting the most outrageous things. Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, 2012, went on record saying the founding fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery. Well, history did not record all of their sit ins and rallies as they protested against slavery. If history has distorted and maliciously left out the endless, fraught with violence, struggle of the founding fathers to end slavery, then our country is being misled and we should do our best to correct the error. But we do have concrete evidence; the Civil War, that there was a strong INCENTIVE to maintain slavery and that incentive was MONEY and POWER. Money and power does not have strange bedfellows; it has just who you think would be there.

A new, not so new, presidential candidate is trying to make HIS bones on the back of slavery once again. Florida's favorite son, Ron DeSantis, wants to WHITE-WASH history in his state and, if elected president (God forbid), our country. DeSantis is going after the educational system to restrict the teaching of the TRUE history of America. In his latest insult to the memory of the people who built America, slaves, he posits most of them benefitted from being slaves because they learned a skill or trade while being enslaved that benefited them in their futures. OURAGEOUS!!!!!

Since Trump's first presidential bid we have been in another historical period where race, power, and money seem to be what is causing unrest in the United States once again.

The cry "I want my country back" has deeper roots than the economy. We are living in a time of the 'perfect Storm' for all skewed thinking to surface. The ugliness of the political arena is the manifestation of the disease of prejudice and racism. The ire over Obama's election to president breeched the levee of tolerance. Now everything that was hated at a family level is now hated on the national scene. The BLACK stereotypical life is on blast and used to stoke all fears rooted in the white populous.

The new narrative pushed by the RIGHT is all the ills of America can be traced back to blackness: gang violence, welfare, unemployment, Medicaid, abortion, the increase in the Muslim religion, national debt, laziness, illegitimate children, family breakdown, drugs and add whatever else you can think of to add to the list. Obama, it seems, raised the fear that the world is headed to doom, and it was believed with fear and trembling he would lead the country to the way of the blacks, socialism, communism, WOKENESS, or whatever the buzz word was/is of the day. It is not explictly projected as such, but the fear of blackness and browness, having money, or any form of power has made radicals out of  the most innocent white person. Make no mistake, there is more going on in America than meets the eye. Ask other countries about America and why there is so much internal bickering, and you will get an answer you may not want to hear. WHAT IS OUR PROBLEM?!

What is an attack on America? When a group joins together so America fails. If someone outside of the United States hatched and announced schemes detrimental to the cohesiveness of our country, then it would be a hostile act of aggression against our country. The January 6, 2021, Capital Riots were such an attack but dressed up as patriotism. When groups decide to marginalize a large majority of its population, then the population becomes oppressed and destined to fail or rise up. Erasing history or rewriting history ERASES people and the American story and spirit. WHAT IS OUR PROBLEM?!

It didn't begin with President Obama but clarity was acheived during his two presidential terms. Has any other president had to fight against a political party the way Obama had to? His stimulus plan didn't fail; it was rejected by states headed by Republicans set on the president not helping their economic situation. The unemployment rates were slow to recover as Republicans banned together in unison across state lines to put teachers, nurses, firemen, and policemen out of work and call it breaking unions. Minnesota shut down based on partisan disagreements. The everyday person failed to realize hurting Obama hurt America. Senator McConnell said his number one goal was to make Obama a one term president. WHY? He failed in that attempt. The gloves came off and people who had the same mentality wanted others to believe "They were looking out for the interest of ALL Americans." During President Obama's presidential terms we did not learn to disagree without being disagreeable. WHAT IS OUR PROBLEM?!

CAN THE INSANITY GET ANY WORSE?

A Marriage pact was signed by social conservatives (Michele Bachmann) saying during slavery African Americans were born into a 2-parent household and since the election of a black president they are born into a single parent household.

When were there black families in slavery? Women were used as baby machines and black men as studs, and children; cotton pickers. Conservatives stand proudly with Bible and country. What is biblical about any of this slavery elevation?. What society are you helping by distorting slavery and who are the members of THIS society?

MY American History is being rewritten to make someone feel better about what? I believe when you begin to lie and believe it yourself - you are moving away from God and more towards self-ish needs. In the Christian religion, God raised up a standard; a tangible to measure Holy life by and that was the figure JESUS.  Is America moving away from that standard? How can a group who know Jesus, his life, and ministry marginalize any group or not even recognize the suffering of a group?

One fact, history has always survived by oral tradition. It is repeated by people who lived it and passed onto the ears of the next generation. Those generations who did not live historical inflection points tend to want to accurately document what happened for their posterity. History is NEVER lost. To live in America is to never escape how it was built.
Tactic after tactic has been employed to change the narrative of 'blackness' from the RIGHT.

When it comes to using religion in politics there will be dueling Bible passages for each political point of view but the heart condition, which God looks at, will be the "truth teller."

Look at the Parable of the Rich Man's Harvest Luke 12:16-20 who had a great harvest built for himself, He had bigger storage so he could live off of his wealth for years. "Take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry" was his prevailing thought. God had a different agenda and the greedy man who thought of his own comfort died before daybreak.

Ugliness, sinfulness, or whatever it is that makes one nurse bitterness whether dressed up in perfume and catchy names and can be smelled from miles away is still hatefulness. A bad 'heart condition' can't/won't be hidden forever. The question has to be asked: "What set the masses off when Obama became President?" Directly after 9/11 we did not have such an assault against Muslims, as on Obama because he was believed to be a Muslim. Remember Trump welcomed and housed the Saudi's after 9/11 when no one else would. "Spreading the Wealth" became a tag phrase as being a 'bad' thing but remember when oil monopolies were broken for the betterment of the nation and philanthropy was encouraged for the filthy rich to give back to the country? Was the in need government partaking in  socialism when this was done?

The Supreme Court overturned Roe/Wade. A long anticipated move waited on by the Right. Once upon a time Glenn Beck decided to explain to the black populous how the intent of the Planned Parenthood founder was to get rid of blacks through genocide and we should hate them. This did not shock any black people because since their introduction into America the intent was to get rid of them in one way or another after usefulness, this was just another attempt in another way. And hatred, is not a characteristic of the Black Community. Black people have never retaliated in mass against their oppression in kind to their oppression. The attempt to remove blackness and browness in America is endless and shameless.

DeSantis, and DeSantis want-a be's can burn every book in a library and legislate never to mention the words 'black people' but history has already struck and is not erasable. What history are we as individuals and Christians writing? Are we just nodding and accepting this alteration of TRUTH? Or are we orating the true history of America? This time in history will be pointed to, dissected, and written about. What will the narrative be? Just as in the time of SLAVERY, keeping a group ignorant was the KEY to the success of the powerful and wealthy hid behind a Bible. See, DeSantis, history does repeat itself and once again, who will be REBUILDING America?

Whether you agree with me or not is not the point. the point is VOTE VOTE VOTE and read my book "The Politics of Prayer"
